Sean Penn Told He Looks Like ‘A Homeless Person’ By Famous Comedian
Comedian Kathy Griffin is known for spilling the tea and giving juicy details on celebrities she discovers through awkward encounters with them. It’s a schtick that has carried her throughout her career and has served her well.
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Griffin said she had a pretty hilarious story that happened involving notoriously moody actor Sean Penn. The comedian said that it happened at the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment breakfast back in December. The moment happened while Griffin was mingling with Kris Jenner and Selma Blair. Suddenly, Griffin spotted Sean Penn and was grossed out by his disheveled appearance.

Griffin told Jimmy Kimmel of the exchange with “looney tunes.”
“He’s got two Academy Awards,” Griffin continued. “He’s got all the money in the world. And so, I go up to Sean and he’s about to give an award to Melinda Gates.”
When Penn turned around and saw Griffin, he said, “Oh, geez.”
“I go, ‘Penn! What’s wrong with your hair?’ It doesn’t have a shape. It looks like… you look like a homeless person. Fix your hair.”
Penn, who was obviously having a moment, panicked, “He goes, ‘What should I do?!’ I go, ‘Penn! Barbra Streisand’s over there, Robert Redford is there. Get it together!'”
She went on to say that he should pick up a bottle of hair gel to fix his problem.

Surprisingly, the actor took Kathy’s joke like a champ, and her analysis of Penn’s appearance even made it to Penn’s opening at the brunch.
When he walked on stage to give Melinda Gates her award, Sean said, “I walk in and the first face I saw was Kathy Griffin saying I might have considered hair gel.”
It didn’t end there. Later on during the event, Griffin was dared by Kris Jenner to bring Sean to their table. When she suggested this to the actor, he turned her down, but eventually Kathy talked him into walking over.
When he made it there, Griffin introduced him to the ladies by saying, “Ladies! A disheveled Sean Penn!'”
The last we heard about Sean Penn, he was suing director Lee Daniels for defamation of character. During an interview, Daniels was asked about what he thought of his lead star Terrence Howard and his history of abusing women. Daniels went on to defend Howard by comparing him to Sean Penn.
At the time, he said, “Ain’t done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he’s some f–-in’ demon.”
For years, rumors were swirling but never confirmed that Penn and Madonna’s ill-fated marriage was filled with domestic disputes that turned physical at Sean’s hand. Although it was suspected, no one in the industry had commented on these rumors. Penn is now suing the Empire creator for $10 million, calling his statement “egregious on several levels.”
“First in his purported defense of Howard, Daniels not only appears to acknowledge Howard’s guilt, he also seems to condone Howard’s misconduct.”
Additionally, his former wife, Madonna, has come to Penn’s defense. Madonna made a statement in Manhattan supreme court, saying that he never touched her throughout their marriage, even though it was a rough marriage.
“While we certainly had more than one heated argument… Sean has never struck me, ‘tied me up,’ or physically assaulted me.”
