Fans have noticed that Kourtney Kardashian has lost a lot of weight lately, and the reality star has finally opened up about her weight loss. Since breaking up with long-time boyfriend, Scott Disick, Kardashian had been experiencing “anxiety” and found that working out helped calm her seemingly frayed nerves.
Despite gossip that Kourtney is getting too skinny, Kardashian insists that she’s healthy, and says her weight loss is just an added benefit of her healthy lifestyle. On her blog, Kourtney wrote that although she sometimes feels sick due to her anxiety, she still forces herself to eat to remain healthy. Kardashian broke up with Scott Disick and their a nine year relationship after Disick was photographed canoodling with another woman.
There were rumors that the pair were getting back together after the news broke Disick was sleeping at Kourtney’s mansion; however, it seems the relationship is over for good. The couple have three children together.
Fans aren’t necessarily buying the seemingly explained weight loss, however. On her Instagram account, Kardashian has shared selfies of her workout routines, showing off her weight loss as she rides a stationary bike in a gold bathing suit. The photo, which was an advertisement for the newest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, garnered criticism from fans, who told Kourtney that she “she looks fab” but the photo “reinforces” the reality star’s weight loss.
Another fan advised Kardashian that she’s starting “to look much older,” adding that she might be “perhaps too thin.”
On her blog, Kourtney Kardashian reminded fans about her stressful break up, and said “[e]veryone deals with hard times in their lives differently.” Revealing that she’s “generally not a nervous person,” Kourtney highlighted that she’s been “anxious” since becoming single.
Kardashian also let fans know that although she gets “nauseous and feel[s] like [she] can’t eat when it is really bad.” She still forces herself to do what she has to do in order to stay healthy. To deal with her anxiety, Kourtney found working out “really helps.”
As for her routine, Kourtney tries “to exercise 5 days a week. I usually start with a quick run or jumping rope to warm up.” When her nerves become too frayed, Kardashian confessed she has “to do something fast to really kill it. And I definitely need good music.”
According to Examiner, Kardashian has experienced a 45-pound weight loss since breaking up with Disick.
Kourtney advised fans that people “are very quick to judge others by appearances,” and warned them that “you truly don’t know what someone’s motivation is or what is going on inside them.” As for her dramatic weight loss, Kourtney said that for her, “exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind.”
Kourtney is not the first Kardashian to lose a dramatic amount of weight following a break up. Sister Khloé Kardashian set the trend after the break up with her husband, Lamar Odom. Currently Khloé is still married to Odom as he recovers from a drug overdose.
To lose weight in a healthy way, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she follows an all-organic diet in addition to her regular work outs. Kourtney also has “been working out with a trainer.” When she begins to lose her motivation, she finds that “having somebody else to work out with really helps motivate me,” confessing that Khloé joins her often.
She has also credited corset waist training for flattening her belly and helping with her weight loss.
She also tries to eat at home as much as possible to ensure she eats “really clean.” As for her massive weight loss, Kourtney Kardashian says she “forget[s] every time” how hard it is to lose the baby weight. She might soon be joined by Kim, who reportedly weighed 190 pounds when Saint was born. Kim has said she wants to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight of 120 pounds.
