Dina Manzo Denies Being Jealous Over Not Returning To ‘RHONJ’ While Andy Cohen Proclaims It’ll Be Back ‘Better Than Ever’

Is Dina Manzo jealous of the women who will be on Season 7 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey now that she is no longer filming the show? The answer is no. On Wednesday, All About The Tea posted an article in which Dina is quoted as calling the rumor that she’s jealous “crazy.”

Dina laughed off the “crazy” rumor and asked why anyone would even believe such a thing. As for the claim that the show’s producers and viewers found her too boring and that’s why she’s not returning to the show, Dina said that she likes being boring.

“I am boring, and I like it that way.”

Dina was on the show’s first two seasons, along with her sister Caroline Manzo, sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, and friend Teresa Giudice. After being away for several seasons, she returned to the show for its sixth season, which did not feature Caroline and Jacqueline. By then, Caroline had left the show to star in her own spin-off, Mazo’d With Children. Jacqueline also appeared on Caroline’s spin-off.

The fact that Dina returned to the show only after Caroline and Jacqueline left was seemingly on purpose. During the years that Dina was away from Real Housewives, Dina became estranged from Caroline and Jacqueline. The reason for the estrangement was never made public.

As viewers saw on Season 6, Jacqueline did actually make a few appearances on the show as a guest after she was brought back on by producers mid-way through the season. Her scenes did not involve Dina. Jacqueline also didn’t film the reunion show, which would have obviously involved her sitting near Dina. On the reunion show, Dina declared that she will never do a reality show with family ever again. Dina also said that she tried to make things right with Caroline and doesn’t want a relationship with Jacqueline.

Dina’s comments infuriated Caroline, who later went on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and blasted Dina. Caroline lashed out at Dina for not making an effort and wanting a relationship only if Jacqueline is out of the picture.

“Over the past four years, five years, Dina has never attended any family function at all…I’m a package deal. I come with everybody. You may have issues with somebody but you don’t dismiss somebody in your family and you don’t…say, ‘I’m giving you a choice. I’m giving you an option. The only way you and I can have a relationship is if you cut someone out of your life. That’s my brother’s wife. And you know Chris was given the same ultimatum…I want my family back and I have done everything in my power to make that happen and so has the rest of us. Dina has to grow up.”

Caroline’s very public admonishment may have been what ended the feud, for the three women reconciled very shortly afterwards. In December 2014, Caroline posted a photo of her family at her big Christmas Eve dinner. Seated in one table was Jacqueline and Dina.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Caroline confirmed in August 2015 that Dina now lives in Southern California. Caroline also said that both she and Jacqueline now have a “good” relationship with Dina.

The fact that Dina now lives in California seems to be biggest reason why she isn’t filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey anymore. Her second departure from the show may also have something to do with the fact that Jacqueline has returned to it. As The Inquisitr previously reported, Jacqueline is reportedly filming the new season as a starring cast member, alongside Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Dina may have decided that it’s best to stay away from the show to keep the peace.

One person who is very excited about Season 7 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is Andy Cohen. During his Watch What Happens Live talk show on Monday, Andy told a caller that who asked if the New Jersey housewives are ever coming back that they will and that the show will be “better than ever.”

“You better believe it will. Better than ever…”
