Stassi Schroeder Dishes On Her ‘Love/Hate’ Relationship With ‘Vanderpump Rules’

Stassi Schroeder will soon make her return to Vanderpump Rules after briefly quitting the series early last year.

When Vanderpump Rules began airing on Bravo in January 2013, Stassi Schroeder was featured on the show in a full-time role alongside co-stars, including her then-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, and her then-best friend, Katie Maloney. However, during Season 2, several changes occurred, and after learning Taylor had slept with one of her close friends, Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder quit her job at SUR Lounge, where the show is filmed, and moved to New York City to begin living with her current boyfriend, Patrick Meagher.

Once Stassi Schroeder moved, her role on the series appeared to be all but over, but ahead of Season 3, she returned to Los Angeles and began filming the show’s third installment in a reduced role. Although Stassi Schroeder appeared often, she was longer working at SUR Lounge, so she simply wasn’t featured as much as the rest of the cast. Then, ahead of season four, Stassi Schroeder announced she was done with the show after finding herself estranged from nearly the entire cast.

On her Podcast series, Straight Up With Stassi, Stassi Schroeder claimed she had been thinking of leaving the show for two years before informing producers of her decision a short time after the Vanderpump Rules Season Three Reunion. However, within weeks of the Podcast airing, Stassi Schroeder had returned to the show for season four.

On January 6, Stassi Schroeder shared a new interview, in which she discussed the ups and downs of the show.

When Hollywood Today Live asked Stassi Schroeder is she and the cast would have remained friends if the show hadn’t happened, she said she might still be a part of the SUR Lounge group.

“I wonder that often because things still would have gone down, but would I have known about it? Maybe I would just be going on obliviously, like, not knowing what the truth is,” she speculated.

As for why Stassi Schroeder decided to return to the show after quitting, she couldn’t reveal much, explaining, “You are going to see it unfold. I have a few reasons and that’s all on the show.”

What she did tell Hollywood Today Live was that fans had a very special surprise in store.

“You’re going to see a completely opposite side to me than you’ve seen before. I have a little… like a rock bottom moment,” she explained.

Stassi Schroeder went on to look back at her relationship with Taylor, claiming she only dated the infamously player because she was young at the time. After revealing she and Taylor dated for two years, Stassi Schroeder admitted he wasn’t exactly the best choice.

“I was young and I didn’t know any better. I started dating him six years ago. I was 21-years-old.”

Stassi Schroeder also wondered why Taylor continues to attract women, despite his wild behavior on Vanderpump Rules. As fans have seen for the last few episodes, Taylor has been flirting heavily with Lala Kent, the newest member of the staff at SUR Lounge, despite having a girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, who was seen moving into Taylor’s home on this week’s new episode.
