Nick Young Calls Iggy Azalea’s Wedding Planning A ‘Nightmare’

Nick Young is opening up on Iggy Azalea’s wedding planning skills. The NBA star says that it’s a “nightmare” to plan their wedding.

Nick Young, 30, revealed in an interview released on Tuesday, January 5 via Us Weekly that they should get married the simple way instead of having a grand wedding. He admitted to Billboard that he sometimes fights with his fiancé, Azalea, 25, over what they should have and who they should invite.

“Whew, a nightmare in its own. I think we should go to the courthouse. It’s tough, it takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing but eventually the women always win. I think wedding days should be just women’s day.”

Iggy has already hinted about their wedding plans. Last year in an interview with James Corden, she revealed that she’s already been meeting with a wedding planner so she can figure out what wants for her own woman’s day.

“Nick wants to have R Kelly perform at our wedding so he can sing ‘Marry the P***y’ at our wedding. [I’m going to have] four bridesmaids. Literally everyone I’m friends with. Demi Lovato’s going to be one of my bridesmaids.”

The rapper also admitted that she hasn’t had the time to go wedding dress shopping. Then Corden pulled over at a bridal shop and offered Azalea the chance to finally try on a wedding gown for the first time.

But now Iggy Azalea is quashing her fiancé’s comments. She joked that Nick Young is lying when it comes to talking about planning their special day. When an Iggy Azalea fan account tweeted his quote, the “Fancy” rapper shared her thoughts on Twitter.

“@NickSwaggyPYoung is completely full of s**t. don’t listen to him. lol. (sic)” she wrote back to the fan, according to Music-News.

There’s one that Young may not be lying about and that’s Azalea’s upcoming album. He told the publication that her sophomore release, Digital Distortion, is going to be a huge hit.

“Aw man, it’s gonna be the best album of 2016. I got my Swaggy P feature on it so that’s why it’s gon’ blow up. I see how hard she be in the studio and I heard a couple songs. Couple surprises and a lot of features on there. It’ll be dope.”

It wasn’t just Iggy’s new music that Nick opened up about. He also talked about the shout out to him in Kanye West’s new song “Facts.” The rapper mentions the athlete’s nickname, Swaggy P, in the song for the Lakers 3-game winning streak, which has recently ended by the Warriors. Sounds like Kanye jinxed Nick and his team. His Los Angeles Lakers teammate Jordan Clarkson has already witnessed Nick’s reaction firsthand and took to Twitter to talk about it.

“I can hear Nick rapping that line through all shoot around tomorrow and during the game he losing his mind right now lol (sic),” Jordan tweeted.

Every time Iggy Iggs releases new music, it seems like the rapper gets slammed for attempting a “blaccent,” otherwise known as a black accent. Many have found both Azalea’s accent and her attempts of appropriating black culture offensive. According to a recent blog post on The Washington Post, some have called Azalea’s “blaccent” the modern version of a minstrel act. Rapper Jean Grae described her vocal style as “verbal blackface.”

Iggy has also been slammed for going under the knife while promoting her new album. She’s been sharing digital photos and teasers for her upcoming music on Instagram. Last month, Iggy shared a black-and-white photo that features the lyrics of her lead single “Team,” but fans were too busy noticing her plumper than usual lips. Some even took to Iggy’s Instagram page to slam her for getting lip injections. Though she’s been open and honest about getting plastic surgery unlike most celebrities, it seems like she still can’t win.
