Check Out What’s Coming To ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ Crown Store In January

New items are on their way to The Elder Scrolls Online Crown Store in the month of January. The monthly stock of items is about to change with new pets and costumes. Players across all platforms can simultaneously log in and purchase the new items as they become available. Four new costume purchases and two new pets are scheduled to release in the coming weeks.

Three new outfits will be available starting January 7 according to the official website. This includes the Sand-Kissed Salwar Ensemble, the “Song of the Night” Ensemble, and the Winter Scouts Pack.

The Sand-Kissed Salwar Ensemble is comprised of nearly tattered top exposing the player’s midriff. Loose light-colored pants and sandals top off this outfit any Khajiit would be happy to wear. The “Song of the Night” Ensemble, on the other hand, seems a little less comfortable. The Redguard female formalwear even has little tassels hanging from the outfit. Finally, the Winter Scouts Pack includes three scout outfits. The Pact Nords of Eastern Skyrim, the Orcs of Wrothgar, and the Nords of Western Skyrim each inspired one outfit in the pack.

The fourth costume added to The Elder Scrolls Online this month is only available for a limited time. The Nord Hero Armor is based on the armor seen in the “Three Fates” trailer (seen below) on the unnamed Nord hero. The costume puts players in armor accented with red stripes on the helm, belt, and greaves. This costume will only be available from January 21 through January 25, so players will need to act quickly before it is removed.

Finally, two new pets are coming to The Elder Scrolls Online Crown Store this month. The Markarth Bear-Dog and Sanguine’s Black Goat will be available starting January 7. The bear-dog sports a spiked collar while the goat is shrouded in Daedric mystery. All of the new items coming to the Crown Store will be available on their specified date across all platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Smaller purchases like pets, costumes, and mounts are just one aspect of The Elder Scrolls Online Crown Store. Players can also purchase traditional DLC including expansion-like content. Most recently, developers released the Orsinium DLC, adding over 20 hours of story-driven content. Orsinium took players of nearly any level to Wrothgar using the battle level system. Additionally, the DLC introduced new public dungeons, six new world bosses, and cross-alliance dungeon grouping. More can be found out about Orsinium on the game’s official website.

Downloadable content is steadily being released for The Elder Scrolls Online, too. In a retrospective piece looking at 2015, developers noted that two more sets of DLC are planned for the first and second quarter of 2016. As the Inquisitr reported, players can expect a DLC based on the Thieves Guild in the first quarter, with a DLC surrounding the Dark Brotherhood expected in the second quarter. Details on those two packs of DLC have yet to be released; however, news on the Thieves Guild content is expected later this month. Moreover, 2015 was quite the year for The Elder Scrolls Online. The game was released on console, transitioned to a buy-to-play model, and expanded with two major expansions.

There is still time for The Elder Scrolls Online players to register and log in for a chance at a million dollar prize as well as several runner-up prizes. The “Million Reasons To Play” promotion is underway now with a cutoff date of January 10. Interested players will need to register online beforehand, and then they will need to log in to The Elder Scrolls Online to be eligible to win. The official site has the pertinent links and instructions for those looking to sign up. One lucky player will win the million dollar prize while 1,000 other players will be rewarded with 3,000 Crowns each. Winners of the Crowns can spend them on anything they want within the Crown Store after the prizes are delivered.
