Lamar Odom Photo: Son Shares Instagram Update As Kourtney Kardashian Discusses Her ‘Crazy Year’
Lamar Odom received a very special visit over the holidays. As he remained under medical watch at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he’s been for nearly three months, Lamar Odom’s two children, Lamar Jr. and Destiny, traveled from New York to the west coast to visit with their father.
Because the children live in New York with Lamar Odom’s ex-girlfriend, Liza Morales, full-time and attend school in the area, they haven’t seen much of their father since they traveled to Las Vegas after his overdose on October 13. At the time, the children flew to Sin City to be with him, but due to their school responsibilities, they couldn’t stay very long.

Although Lamar Odom’s kids were forced to return to New York after he awoke from his coma, his wife, Khloe Kardashian, has remained at his side throughout his medical crisis, and was reportedly the one who made arrangements for Lamar Jr. and Destiny to be in Los Angeles with him during the recent holidays.
“Khloe flew [Lamar Odom]’s kids out to L.A. so they can spend time with him, and Khloe came to Houston for a few days while his kids are in LA with him,” an E! News insider revealed last week.
While Lamar Odom is still married to Kardashian, they haven’t been together in over two years, and for the last several months, Kardashian has been dating James Harden, who is currently based out of Houston, where he plays for the Houston Rockets. For the last few months, as Lamar Odom’s medical ordeal continues, Kardashian has remained involved with Harden, but, as People Magazine recently reported, it hasn’t been easy.
“James obviously has wanted to see her more and be with her in [Texas] more, but she’s felt like she needed to stay in L.A. to be with her family and to deal with [Lamar Odom] stuff,” a source close to the family told the magazine. “That has put some strain on things.”
Lamar Odom and Kardashian tied the knot in September 2009 after knowing one another for just 30 days, and in the years after they wed, the couple appeared together on a number of reality shows, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and their spinoff, Khloe & Lamar. Then, after rumors hit the web in 2013, claiming Lamar Odom was engaging in affairs and using drugs, Kardashian filed for divorce. However, due to the slow process of their split, Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s divorce had yet to be finalized when he was hospitalized, which left the reality star and author in charge of making key medical decisions for him.
During Lamar Odom’s children’s visit, which may or may not have continued into 2016, his teenage son, Lamar Jr., shared the first photo of the former professional athlete since his hospitalization. In the photo, Lamar Odom can be seen with his son, who told fans on Instagram he was “blessed,” and his daughter.

In other Lamar Odom news, his sister-in-law, Kourtney Kardashian, recently hinted around his struggles in a post on her app. According to a January 5 report by CBS News, Kourtney spoke of her “overall crazy year,” but didn’t mention Lamar Odom by name.
While Lamar Odom and Kardahian’s divorce petition was eventually thrown out due to his hospitalization, the couple will eventually divorce, as has been discussed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 11.
