Dwight Howard Trade To The Nets Could Work Like This

The Orlando Magic are starving for talent and Dwight Howard wants to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets. So exactly how do you appease your NBA all-star and still turn the situation around? If you’re the Orlando Magic you attempt to trade Howard for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and then also ask for Brooklyn’s first-round picks in 2013, 2015 and 2017

If the deal is a success much like the Miami Heat the Brooklyn Nets would have a “big three” lineup courtesy of Dwight Howard, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson. The Nets could possibly end up with a “big four” lineup thanks to the recent rumor of a $40 million Gerald Wallace contract.

The Brooklyn Nets picked up Joe Johnson on Monday in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks which gives them the right to the expiring contracts of Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow and Jordan Williams, plus DeShawn Stevenson.

Deron Williams has yet to re-sign as a free agent however his biggest concern was the team’s future and with massive trades being made to appease him it looks as if Deron Williams will remain a Brooklyn Nets player for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime Dwight Howard has been asking for a trade to the Brooklyn Nets since December after waiving his opt-out clause for next season back in March. This week Howard revealed that he only wanted to play for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Orlando Magic in the meantime could go after the Los Angeles Lakers, the Atlanta Hawks or the Dallas Mavericks.
