‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Car Accident Leads To Heartbreak, Devastation, And Drama In Salem

This is going to be a heartbreaking week on Days of Our Lives. Spoilers indicate that the big car accident that was teased at the end of Friday’s show leaves multiple Salem residents fighting for their lives. In addition, there are big shifts with the Chad and Abigail relationship in the coming week. What can viewers expect from the January 4 episode?

As viewers saw last week, many Salem residents were on the road after the Basic Black bash. Daniel and Philip were in one car, chatting about Daniel’s upcoming wedding, while Jennifer was in her car and Eric was driving, drunk, in another. As Eric battled to keep his eyes open and car on the road, Jennifer screamed and swerved.

Days of Our Lives spoilers from Soap Central indicate that Eric, Brady, Daniel, and Jennifer will all be rushed to Salem University Hospital. One of the accident victims is said to be in decent shape, and this is clearly Jennifer. While Jenn is said to have some injuries to her neck and back, and these may come back to haunt her later in some way, Daniel, Brady, and Eric are in grave condition.

Daniel’s injuries are such that he will not survive the accident, leaving both Maggie and Nicole particularly devastated. In addition, Days of Our Lives spoilers share, Maggie will be put in an impossible position. She will be told that both Brady and Eric need a new heart, and Daniel is a match for both, and she needs to choose which man gets her son’s heart.

We Love Soaps shares that Roman will quickly realize something about Eric, and most would imagine that this will be the fact that Eric was drunk when he caused the accident. It seems that Roman and Marlena will connect about this fact, and they will be both terrified about whether Eric will survive, and worried about the fallout of his drunk driving. They will be by Eric’s bedside as John, Theresa, and Victor worry about Brady. Of course, Belle will be on hand, waiting to see what happens, and Philip is said to be supporting her.

Viewers will also see more from Chad and Abigail in Monday’s episode, as well. Abby learned that Chad is Thomas’ biological father, but when she went to find Chad to tell him the news, she found him getting frisky with Belle. Days of Our Lives spoilers share that she will work to try to convince Chad of the truth about Thomas in Monday’s show, but he is hesitant to believe her.

It will take another test at the hospital to convince him, it seems, but later in the week, Chad will come to believe the truth that he is Thomas’ father. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that as he holds Thomas and realizes that the baby is his son, he will be able to snap out of Andre’s brainwashing control. Teasers detail that Chad and Abigail will reunite and will work together to take down Andre in the episodes to come.

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that Wednesday’s show brings the big decision about Daniel’s heart. Nicole has to bid farewell to her fiancé, and while viewers will have to tune in to see whether Eric or Brady gets Daniel’s heart, it seems likely that the choice will be Brady.

It is known that Greg Vaughan is leaving the role of Eric soon, but that is not expected to happen until the spring. In addition, it has been said that Eric will leave Salem still alive, with the door open for a return down the road. While Eric may need a heart at this point, it would appear that he may be able to hold on and stay in rough condition, or get a different heart, in the wake of Daniel’s heart seemingly going to Brady.

This is going to be a tough week for everybody in Salem, as Daniel’s death and Eric’s responsibility for the accident will leave everybody’s world’s rocked. Nicole is said to tear into Jennifer at one point, and Chloe will be returning to town. Stay tuned for additional Days of Our Lives spoilers as the drama continues and the week plays out.
