WWE News: The New Day To Be Paired Up With Team BAD To Form New WWE Stable?

WWE’s The New Day, made up of Xavier Woods, Big E., and Kofi Kingston, have made excellent strides since their team-up in 2014. Some could say that 2015 was the year of The New Day, as they have been seen as the top act in WWE time and time again. They won a number of tag team championships and were even involved in televised main events. While there is said to be more history made with them in 2016, 2015 was a fun year to look back on for them.

In 2016, we very well could see a new look for the trio, which may or may not make fans happy. According to the Daily Wrestling News, New Day very well could be merging with Team B.A.D to form a stable of sorts. Team B.A.D is made up of WWE Divas Naomi, Tamina Snuka, and Sasha Banks. WWE ran an angle with the teams on WWE RAW weeks ago, where they got together for a dance of sorts.

This was done to see if there was any interest in the teams coming together or at least see Sasha Banks make the jump to the very over trio. It is thought that she has the most chemistry with the guys, and fans seem to be heavily into her versus the other ladies in Team B.A.D. On top of this, their team has seemingly been a dud compared to the others that formed up, and they were all lost in the shuffle.

With fans wanting to see more of Sasha, as well as see her in a bigger role, it would make sense for her to jump to The New Day as their new female member.

WWE has seemingly wanted to put a focus on groups and stables lately. This is why they reformed the Wyatt Family and added a new member in 2015. They also formed three all the female teams, with additional teams like the League of Nations popping up at the end of the year as well as Roman Reign’s “Family” stable. The idea is that having them could help ratings, as the Attitude Era’s use of groups was massively popular. People loved the gang warfare idea back then, and with this concept heating back up again, it made sense to continue many of the groups in 2016.

WWE feels that this gang warfare concept coming back could create more buzz for normal programming. They are not too far off on this, as the opening segment a few weeks ago on WWE RAW with all the groups coming out together did end up being one of the highest-rated shows of the year, and that segment was rated high.

However, some are not working while others are thriving. Clearly, New Day is thriving, but Team B.A.D never truly hit well enough with fans for some reason. Fans enjoyed seeing them due to the Sasha Banks affiliation, of course, but they never landed as a trio like others did. To add further fuel to a split-up, there have been rumors of Banks splitting from her group for a very long time now, seeing as fans would rather her do something away from them than with them it seems.

Sasha Banks joining The New Day would possibly work too, but there is a risk in it all.

There is a worry among many that WWE might be overexposing The New Day due to how liked they are currently, as well as their great merchandise sales. Adding Sasha might only add to more television time for them, as they would get involved in WWE Diva match-ups as well. On one recent episode of WWE RAW, New Day had about 4 segments spread throughout the night for various minutes.

Nearly an hour of content was built around them either for a random segment or match. WWE has a history of overexposing favorites in an effort to cater to people and build ratings. However, this becomes a problem after a while as people get too much of something they like. This, in turn, makes them not want to see it. See John Cena for details.

WWE is very high on the gimmick, and there is a very good chance they add Team B.A.D or at least Sasha Banks to the group due to the success of the segment they were part of together. On top of this, they have done a lot of online content together that fans have enjoyed seeing. All of this being said, do not be surprised if something is teased with both groups as soon as tonight or within the next few weeks.
