Rihanna Slammed For Performing “Shameful And Disgusting” Show Hours After Grandma’s Death

Rihanna fans in Sweden called Rihanna’s recent performance in their country “disgusting and shameful” just hours after she had taken to Twitter to tweet about the death of her grandmother.

Fans of the 24-year-old singer turned up to her show at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden where they witnessed a singer they believed was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

On Twitter fans called Rihanna “too high to perform” while one fan wrote:

“Rihanna is blatantly under the influence of drugs and is allowed to perform in front of children and young people. It is disgusting and shameful. #pal12.”

Rihanna showed up to the show 45 minutes after her scheduled start and then couldn’t remember what country she was performing in.

During her performance Rihanna dedicated the “Redemption Song” to Norway while referring to the mass murders carried out by accused mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik. Those murders however were carried out in Oslo, Norway not Borlänge, Sweden. Rihanna apparently confused her location with the Kollen Festival in Oslo where she had performed a few days earlier.

Just hours before her performance Rihanna had shared several photos of her grandma on Twitter with several loving messages.

Rihanna observers have been noting for the last several months that she appears to be coming unhinged, perhaps the death of her grandma who she often spoke fondly of on Twitter was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Here’s the official tweet Rihanna sent about her grandma before the show:
