Chris Brown Battery Investigation Leads To Racial Comments

Chris Brown may or may not have punched a woman in Las Vegas. TMZ first reported about Brown’s battery charges on Saturday afternoon.

“Chris Brown is at the center of a battery investigation after a woman claims the singer punched her in the face. The alleged victim tells us she was at a private party in Brown’s suite at the Palms Hotel in Vegas early Saturday morning.”

The accuser, Liziane Gutierrez, says she was able to get her cellphone into the suite without his security noticing. She says she took a picture of Brown, who then yelled, took her phone, and punched her once in the right eye. The comments section of TMZ after the article turned into a racial battleground.

“Watch Obama stand up for Chris Brown and say he is only charged because he is Black. Just wait, it’s going to happen…,” replied commenter Zhana Chung.

“Black dudes that can’t control their anger, no wonder why police shootings are up. Thugs get slugs f them,” claimed commenter Hellwaii.

Some of the comments claimed that the only reason Chris Brown was being charged was simply because he is an African-American. The comments about Chris Brown on Twitter had more to do with race than the actual alleged battery that happened.

TMZ later reported that Chris Brown denied hitting Gutierrez.

“A rep for the singer tells TMZ Liziane Gutierrez was booted from the party at The Palms Saturday morning for being disruptive and out of control. We’re told once she was in the hallway and waiting for her phone, she had a total meltdown, throwing her purse and claiming she could buy everyone in the hotel.”

TMZ added that Chris’ people say the police report is merely a case of retaliation for Gutierrez. The comments after this article weren’t as racial as the previous one, but many supported Chris Brown and believe Liziane Gutierrez was completely lying.

Heavy.com profiled Liziane Gutierrez and came up with some interesting stuff. For one thing, they noted that in August of 2015, Gutierrez was among many groupies who were partying with Jason Derulo at a Hollywood club. There was a video going around showing Gutierrez getting extremely angry about not being part of Derulo’s ride home from the club.

Just last month, Gutierrez’s home in Brazil was robbed just as she was going through a separation with her husband Antonio Mechedo, who she was married to for 10 years. The robbers allegedly didn’t take much, but still got about $10,000 worth of merchandise. Let’s hope that Gutierrez had some type of insurance.

Gutierrez has been trashed on Twitter.
