Young Thug: How A Friend Helped Him Avoid A Career Catastrophe

Young Thug is currently one of the most successful rappers in the music industry. At age 24, he is said to have eleven kids, and seems to always be surrounded by controversy.

Most recently, he was alleged to have called someone’s son sexy. This was after he spotted a cute photo of an Instagram user and her son, took a screen shot, and sent it to her via DM, saying, “Your son is sexy and so is u…”

The Instagram user then posted the sent message on her account captioning it, “when a MAN tells you that your son is sexy.”

The son’s father is said to have been incensed by the “sexy” compliment, as reported by Vlad TV. The father who goes by the username Papithed0n apparently confronted Young Thug and asked him to respect his family. The following is the message he posted that has now been deleted.

“Yooo @thuggerthugger1 kind of Gay s*** u on in my Girl DM… What part of the Game u call a 2 year-old boy sexy… Same man pride himself on his kids against Plies.”

He also added the following.

“U suppose to teach people to be Men, I can’t respect that… Young dudes now a days smh… Save all the Blood talk with me, my homies all Billy… Men don’t do this, sharpen up… Getting at my girl is cool, calling my son sexy isn’t.”

Generally, Young Thug has a history of talking without considering the consequences. Earlier this year, he threatened to shoot a mall cop after being kicked out of the establishment. The threatening words led to his arrest. According to a report by TMZ, “The guards were escorting the rapper out of the mall when he allegedly said he was going to shoot one of them in the face.”

He is, however, alleged to have left the building before police arrived, and it took several days for the authorities to track him down. He was apparently arrested at a residence located just outside Atlanta.

The arrest is said to have had the potential to derail Young Thug’s career. According to Complex, Alex Tumay, Young Thug’s executive producer and friend saved the situation. According to the site, Young Thug’s studio equipment was seized following the arrest. The following is a short description of the situation as reported by Tumay.

“They seized everything. Hard drives, computer screens, everything. We had to re-buy it all. Luckily, I make copies of everything, and I had all of his music with me.”

He is said to have saved hundreds of Young Thug’s songs from destruction following the raid by the authorities.

In other news, one of Young Thug’s security personnel was murdered while in his home a few weeks ago. He reportedly died from a gunshot wound to the head. The following is the report according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution (viaHot New HipHop).

“Homicide detectives are trying to determine who shot and killed a 23-year-old southwest Atlanta man late Monday, then took the victim’s car and possibly his dog.

“The shooting happened at a home in the 1000 block of Allegheny Street, in a neighborhood off Cascade Avenue.

“The victim’s roommate returned home just before midnight to find the man, identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as Quintavius Waters, face down on a bed, according to Channel 2 Action News. Detectives found no sign of forced entry into the home.”
