Kanye West GQ’s Most Stylish Man Of 2015: Yeezy’s Style Is Not For Kids Though
Kanye West has something to celebrate on New Year’s Eve. The rapper and fashion designer has been hailed as the Most Stylish Man of 2015, according to GQ magazine.
This is the second time that Kanye West has been given this title. According to the men’s magazine, the rapper walked away with the most votes since he came up against model Lucky Blue Smith. And that’s because West has a style that’s all his own, according to the editors of GQ.
“From Balmain tailoring to RRL cargos, Haider Ackermann velvet tops to torn-to-shreds denim, West stayed true to his signature POV (high-end designer pieces and easy, sportswear-inspired silhouettes) but mixed things up along the way. And this year, the rapper-slash-producer cum designer had his own Yeezy collections to throw into the mix. It was those Yeezy pieces that put his already highly-watched wardrobe under an even bigger menswear microscope, as hypebeasts and style-minded guys everywhere hoped catch a first glimpse of some new Yeezy Boost colorway on Kanye first.”
The magazine added: “And in the end, there were a lot of votes; nearly one million cast in twenty-four hours. The final tally: 520,1119 votes for Kanye, 445,073 for Lucky Blue.”
Kanye West was very pleased with the news. He took to his Twitter account to thank both GQ and his fans for giving him the title.

The 38-year-old was last named one of the most stylish men alive by GQ magazine earlier this year. He joined the ranks of 20 other fashionable men such as Bradley Cooper, Jay Z, Pharrell Williams, and Ryan Gosling. According to GQ, the stylish men were chosen by their street style rather than their red carpet style.
“The team spent countless hours pulling scores of photos—pretty much every look each nominee has been caught wearing in the last few years. There were moving boxes full of research files, long editing sessions spearheaded by creative director Jim Moore and design director Fred Woodward, and still more debate that centered around the question: Who truly has unique, effortless, deeply-ingrained personal style that we all can learn from?”
Kanye West’s street style may be a hit with the adults, but it’s certainly not something that’s for kids. There’s no question that West’s sense of style and Yeezy clothing line has been deemed as questionable by fashion critics. Now both the rapper and his wife, Kim Kardashian, have been slammed for dressing their daughter North West in a fur coat. Their 2-year-old cutie was seen wearing a coat that’s made of real fur and is worth an estimated $3,500, according to the Daily Mail Online.
Kim Kardashian shared a photo of her daughter wearing the fur coat in Los Angeles with the caption: “Swag.”
The photo received over 1 million likes, but raised eyebrows among fans. Some thought it was ridiculous to put a child in an overpriced garment, while others think it was not appropriate for a child to wear real fur.
Kanye West think it’s fine for his daughter to rock fur. He’s been slammed for wearing fur in the past and has dismissed the criticism by saying it makes him feel like a “f***ing rock star.” His wife has been attacked by anti-fur activists in the past for wearing fur coats and similar fur accessories.
It appears that the couple has some other exciting news to share on New Year’s Eve. According to Kim, the rapper will be dropping some new music sometime tonight (Dec. 31). Kim K took to her Twitter account to share the exciting news with her fans.
