‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling Out On Bail, Buying A Prepaid Cell Phone

Glee star Mark Salling is out on bail, but he is under a whole new level of scrutiny that has changed his life. As the police have confiscated all of his electronics, including his phone, he was out today replacing them, soon after he made bail and left the jail. Salling has a hearing at the end of January,

According to the Inquisitr, the Glee star’s house was raided by the LAPD on a tip that Mark Salling possessed child pornography. Over one thousand images of child pornography were reportedly seized, including those of sexual acts with children under the age of ten. Salling is facing up to five years in prison if found guilty of these charges. Shortly after he was granted bail, Salling’s family paid, and he was released pending a hearing at the end of January.

TMZ is reporting that today, Salling was out and about, replacing the electronics that had been seized by the police. The Glee star was seen still clutching his bail bonds materials that allowed him to leave the county jail.

“As we reported, Salling’s home was raided Tuesday after an ex-girlfriend told cops he had child porn on his computer. Our law enforcement sources say they found more than 1,000 images of minors in sexual poses or encounters, some of whom were under 10.”

The Los Angeles Times says the director of Salling’s latest project is waiting to see how things shake out before deciding whether or not Salling’s scenes will be cut out.

“Today I was made aware of the serious allegations against Salling as a result of numerous media outlets hounding me as to whether he would remain in ‘Gods and Secrets,'” Shankar told E! News, via Los Angeles Times, on Wednesday. “I won’t feed our growing pitchfork culture. I’m going to wait for all the facts to arrive and if in fact these allegations are true, I will immediately take action, which includes removing his scenes from the project.”

His upcoming project is the movie Gods and Secrets, in which he plays the villain.

According to the Daily Mail, Salling was seen out shopping today after getting released from jail. Lt. Andrea Grossman of the LAPD reported that though she has seen child pornography cases before, the images on Salling’s computer were “incredibly disturbing.”

The punishment for anything over 600 images is five years in prison. The electronics belonging to Salling were seized when he refused to give his passwords to the police. An ex-girlfriend tipped off the police, but they investigated before the raid to make sure that the tip wasn’t given in revenge. The police were “100% sure” they would find pornographic images before they used a battering ram to force their way into Salling’s rental to catch him by surprise first thing in the morning on Tuesday.

The girlfriend who tipped off the police was not the girlfriend that he was accused of assaulting and forcing to have sex without protection previously.

Media sources have reached out to Salling’s representatives for a comment on this story, but calls have not been returned. Calling claims to come from a very religious background, and has a Christian-based education.

Do you think that the Glee star is guilty of the charges of child pornography, or do you think there is some misunderstanding?
