Did Josh Duggar Fly Back Home A Few Days After Anna Duggar’s Christmas Visit?

There’s a chance that Josh Duggar just headed back home to start the New Year with his family. On Tuesday, December 29, the Duggar family’s plane jetted off to Rockford, Illinois, which is the location of the Christian recovery center that Josh has been staying at since late August. The plane was only in Illinois for a short period of time, so it was likely picking someone up or dropping someone off.

Members of the Freejinger forum have been monitoring the Duggar family plane using the Flightaware website, and they recently reported that the plane made a quick stop in Illinois before heading back to the Duggars’ home state of Arkansas. The plane landed at Chicago Rockford International Airport at 6:46 p.m. ET, and it was only on the ground about an hour before it took back off. Many Freejinger users believe that pilot John David Duggar flew to Rockford to pick up older brother Josh Duggar and bring him back home.

However, if Josh Duggar is coming home, his timing is a bit odd. According to Daily Mail, Anna Duggar likely crammed her four kids into the Duggars’ four-seater plane and took them to visit Josh on Christmas Day. If Josh’s stint at Reformers was set to end on December 29, surely he could have been released a few days early so that he could spend the holidays at home with his family. It’s possible that Anna flew back out to Rockford to spend the New Year with Josh, or perhaps Josh suddenly decided that he was ready to go home.

According to ETonline, the Reformers Unanimous program lasts six months. This means that Josh Duggar’s stint at the facility would end sometime in February. However, Josh is not a prisoner – he can go home whenever he wants, provided that he can convince John David to fly out and pick him up. Perhaps seeing his wife and kids on Christmas Day made Josh horribly homesick, or maybe his wife and kids begged him to come home. During the Duggar family’s three-part TLC special, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Anna Duggar did admit that she missed her husband terribly. She also hinted that she wasn’t completely on board with the idea of her husband leaving her to parent their four kids alone for four months shortly after he confessed to cheating on her.

“It wasn’t an easy choice [for Josh to go to rehab] when you have a new baby and three other little ones to take care of realizing, ‘Wow, I’m going to be alone for an extended period of time,'” Anna said, according to Radar Online.

Anna admitted that watching sister-in-law Jessa Duggar prepare for the arrival of her first child made her miss Josh even more because she started reflecting back on the “happy memories” that she and Josh made together in Jessa’s starter home (Jessa is currently living in the house that Anna and Josh moved into right after they got married). Anna has only been able to visit Josh three times since he enrolled in Reformers, and absence seems to be making her heart grow fonder of her cheating husband. According to People, she spent three days with Josh in November, and she described them as the “best three days” of her life.

During her talking head segments on the Jill & Jessa: Counting On specials, Anna Duggar made many indications that she wanted Josh back in her life so that she and her husband could move on with their lives. As the Inquisitr previously reported, she tried to put a positive spin on her husband’s cheating scandal by saying that it had provided her with “a good opportunity to draw close to God.” Josh Duggar’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, said something very similar when responding to reports that Josh had sexually molested four of his younger sisters, including Jill and Jessa Duggar.

Anna Duggar has also said that she believes that God will restore her marriage, so perhaps she doesn’t think that Josh really needs Reformers to turn his life around.

If the Duggar family plane didn’t pick Josh up on Tuesday, perhaps it dropped Anna off. As mentioned above, Anna has spent multiple days with Josh and Reformers before, so it’s possible that she’s staying in Illinois to ring in the New Year with her husband.

Do you think Anna flew out to visit Josh Duggar, or did he decide to leave his treatment program early so that he could start the New Year at home with his family?
