Inspirational Bible verses are an excellent way for Christians to reflect upon the new year. These New Year’s Scriptures are inspirational, encouraging, and comforting. For those who have had a difficult year, New Year’s is a great time to stop, take pause and reflect upon the past, while putting trust in God for the future. These inspirational Bible verses and scriptures will help remind Christians that though tomorrow may not be promised, God has the future under control. Bible verses are very encouraging to many people, and they don’t have to be Christians.

The Amplified Bible expands upon the verses and provides more insight into the meaning. Those looking for encouragement this New Year’s should take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11.

“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” Psalm 65:11

There may be no more fitting Bible verse for New Year’s, than this praise to God at the end of the year. Instead of looking back over the mistakes, failures and other negative aspects of the previous year, reflect upon all of the blessings that you enjoyed. Let God’s blessing be the crown on the final moment of your year, as you eagerly await what is to come.

These powerful Scriptures from Ezekiel are perfect for New Year’s. God is saying that no matter what has happened in the past, He will cause everything to become new. God will give you a new heart and a new spirit so that you can be strong, bold and victorious. Whatever you are unable to do in your own strength, you will have the power to do because God will strengthen you with His spirit. Through God’s strength and the power of his Spirit, you will be successful, empowered and blessed.

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

This passage is well known, and there is no question it contains some of the most inspirational Bible verses in all of Scripture. It is the basis for the song “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” and has been the inspiration for many songs that reflect on God’s mercy, faithfulness and how the believer trusts in God. It is an extremely important verse for New Year’s as it reflects on how God shows his mercy towards His children every day. No matter what happened last year, God is merciful, compassionate and faithful. You can enter the new year knowing that God is merciful and loving towards you.
