Miley Cyrus Back To Brunette? Don’t Expect ‘Old Miley’ To Return

Miley Cyrus is bringing back her old hairstyle, but that doesn’t mean she’s going back to her old self. In fact, she doesn’t miss the “old Miley” at all.

Miley Cyrus, 23, shared a photo of herself debuting her new bob hairstyle, making fans wonder if she’s finally ditching her Happy Hippie ways. The “BB Talk” singer was seen rocking brunette hair. After three years of showing off her platinum blonde pixie, Cyrus has unveiled a brunette bob similar to the one she had before she chopped her hair in 2012.

The singer took to her infamous Instagram to show off her new dirty blonde hairstyle with her brunette roots showing through. Miley smiled widely with her photographer friend Vijat Mohindra and actor Alimi Ballard, who the singer was clearly excited to meet. She captioned the new photo, “Filled w happiness and joy! Ran into our favorite quiz master!!!! Alimi Ballard! Aka Albert! @vijatm #quizmaster”

In case you didn’t know, Ballard played the role of the Quizmaster Albert in the late ’90s and early 2000s classic sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, according to Us Weekly.

The last time she was seen wearing this similar hairstyle, she was engaged to Liam Hemsworth, and she didn’t even release her edgy new album, Bangerz. But she probably won’t stick to this style long. She’s been seen rocking plenty of wigs and extensions on Instagram. And back in August, Miley revealed to Elle UK that not only she’s pansexual, but her style changes every week or so.

“I’m very open about it – I’m pansexual. I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with.”

Then in September, prior to hosting the 2015 MTV VMAs, Miley told The New York Times that she often goes through reinventions.

“It’s really scary. If one of my friends doesn’t seem me for two or three weeks, you have to re-get to know me in a way. My soul will still be the same, but everything around me can be different, and I won’t dress the same and maybe different kinds of people will be around me.”

Miley is no stranger to sharing throwback pictures of herself on Instagram. But that doesn’t mean she’s pining for “the Old Miley,” much like her fans have been. Clearly, she wanted to make her opinion known when it comes to those who say they miss her old (and normal) self.

In classic Miley style, she shared a photo of herself making a funny face with the expression, “I miss the old Miley lol lol lol lol lol #nofilter #prefilter #posttan”

She followed that post by sharing a side-by-side photo of her previous photo and a throwback photo of her BFF Katy Weaver.

Then Cyrus shared another throwback photo of herself goofing around inside an airplane. This photo was apparently for all of her “haters,” out there. She captioned the silly photo, “When haters say they miss the old me (ps some of y’all r f***innnn cray cray! I look like cousin it f***ed a clementine!) #imisstheold miley (sic)”

Shen then followed that photo up with a funny comparison chart so that her fans would better understand what she’s talking about.

Miley then shared a meme that says, “When people say, ‘I miss the old Miley.” The sexually suggestive photo shows the singer patting her crotch in both her Can’t Be Tamed and her Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz era. She captioned the photo, “One inch to the right” along with some explicit hashtags.

No matter what Miley does or how she looks, she still looks beautiful doing so. But that hasn’t stopped some from criticizing her for posing topless or nude in her controversial photo shoots. Despite her many sexually-charged performances and shoots, it appears that Miley still has some good left in her. The crazy entertainer has also been named one of the “Celebs Gone Good” from DoSomething.org.

Miley Cyrus came in at No. 2 in for launching her Happy Hippie Foundation, which is a nonprofit that raises awareness for underprivileged LGBTQ homeless youth. What are your thoughts on Cyrus’ new hairstyle? Do you miss the “old Miley?” Sound off below in the comments section.
