Amid Reports Of Feud With Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton Believes She Knows Who Has Been Planting Stories

One of Kathy Hilton’s gardeners may be out of a job soon. On Monday, Kathy tweeted that she has a pretty good feeling that she knows the gardener who has been planting “some of the stories.” Kathy added that she’s not naive.

Kathy didn’t explain what “stories” she was referring to in her tweet. Was she referring to all of the recent stories on her relationship with younger sister Kyle Richards? In the past few weeks, there have been a lot of articles on Kathy’s reported discord with Kyle, thanks to what was revealed in an earlier episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

On the show, prior to Kyle’s joint trip to Italy with Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle revealed to Lisa that she was no longer going to Nicky Hilton’s wedding in London. In an interview, Kyle admitted that her relationship with Kathy, Nicky’s mother, was not good and that it was Kathy who made the decision to disinvite her.

“Obviously this is not something that makes me feel good but it’s Nicky’s day and my sister Kathy’s day, as the mother of the bride so I have to respect her decision.”

Later on, when Kyle, Lisa, and their families were in Italy, Kyle said that she was going to go to Nicky’s wedding after getting invited again. To the shock of Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, Kyle revealed that her husband, Mauricio Umansky, still wasn’t allowed to go to the wedding. It was also revealed that Kyle’s two middle daughters, Sophia and Alexia, didn’t get invites either. Kyle said that Mauricio wasn’t going because of “tension” in the family. As for Sophia and Alexia, they didn’t get invites because of a no-child policy at the wedding.

As the Inquisitr reported in July, Kyle Richards did end up going to Nicky Hilton’s wedding to James Rothschild. Her eldest daughter, Farrah, served as a bridesmaid while her youngest daughter, Portia, served as a flower girl.

After the Real Housewives episode aired, E! News published an article that reportedly gave the backstory on the family’s “tension” that Kyle mentioned. A source explained to E! News that a long-simmering disagreement between Kathy Hilton’s husband, Rick Hilton, and Mauricio has led to a drift between the two families. Years ago, Mauricio worked for Rick’s real estate firm, Hilton & Hyland, before leaving and setting up The Agency. Mauricio reportedly left because Rick and the other managers wouldn’t make him a partner despite him deserving the promotion. Another source said that when Mauricio began his competing agency, he tried to poach staff from Hilton & Hyland.

The article also reported that Kathy was not happy about Kyle signing a deal to air a TV show based on her life growing up with her family. Indeed, a flashback scene shown on Real Housewives showed Kyle telling Lisa that her show may make some people uncomfortable. Lisa guessed that Kyle was talking about her sisters.

The reports of a feud between the two sisters seemed to be proven false when Kyle posted a photo of herself with Kathy at Kris Jenner’s Christmas Eve party a few days ago. Yet on Tuesday, People quoted a source as saying that the photo doesn’t mean that the sisters are back on good terms.

“There is still lots of tension. There is no truce. They put on a good face at the party [but] there’s a lot to work on still.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards and her four daughters went to Kathy Hilton’s house on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with her, Paris, and Nicky Hilton. While Kyle’s eldest daughter was at the gathering, it doesn’t seem as if Kyle herself was there.

Rick Hilton recently confirmed that he and Kathy Hilton are not happy over what has been discussed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Shockingly, Rick told TMZ on Monday that Kyle is quitting the show in order to keep the family peace.

“Should I mention Kyle quitting the show? It’s nice because there were upsetting things going on because they were covering my daughter’s wedding. The show was taking advantage, but Kyle said she was giving notice to quit the show because they made her put the wedding information in the show. That was nice of her to do.”

When asked if Kyle quitting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is what brought the family back together, Rick said yes.

“Yes, well she told us that she’s already given them notice. So it’s already happened…Yes.”

According to TMZ, however, production sources say that Kyle Richards has no plans on leaving the show.
