Kristen Doute Says She Apologized To Ariana Madix For Herself, Defends Katie Maloney

Will Kristen Doute and Ariana Madix ever be friends? For now, Ariana wants nothing to do with Kristen, as she made very clear on the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules, during which she shut Kristen down as Kristen apologized to her for what happened between them in the past.

On the latest episode, which aired on Sunday night instead of its usual Monday night time slot, Kristen decided that she was going to apologize to Ariana. As viewers saw on a previous season, Kristen accused Ariana of trying to get with Tom Sandoval when they were still together. Tom later admitted that he and Ariana did kiss once during a trip to Las Vegas, but that it was innocent. After the demise of Kristen and Tom’s relationship, Tom and Ariana did become a couple, causing Kristen to lash out at Ariana and say some really nasty things about her. Along with her relationship with Tom, Kristen’s friendships with the rest of the cast members also ended.

So far this season, Kristen has been making something of a comeback by repairing her friendships. She decided that she had to apologize to Ariana in order to move forward with the group. Kristen approached Ariana at SUR’s bar and asked for a drink. Ariana retorted that she doesn’t feel comfortable serving Kristen alcohol, a hint that she wasn’t going to be receptive to Kristen’s apology. Kristen apologized to Ariana for how she acted, including her “immature meltdowns” and the things that she said about her.

Ariana told Kristen that there was no excuse for how she behaved. Ariana reminded Kristen that she wished for her death. When Kristen said that she’s not trying to be her or Tom’s friend, Ariana retorted that Kristen doesn’t have the qualities to be her friend. Ariana also made clear that she doesn’t believe that Kristen is being sincere and wants nothing to do with her.

“My friends are very intelligent and funny, wonderful people, and I’ve never seen you be any of those things… if apologizing to me makes you feel better and makes you feel like you’ve cleared your conscience then that’s great, God speed to you. Whatever you do in life… I don’t give a f**k, just stay away from me. I don’t trust your motives. I don’t trust who you are as a person. You can do whatever you want. Just do it away from me.”

As the scene aired, Kristen Doute tweeted that she apologized to Ariana Madix for herself rather than Ariana.

Kristen also tweeted that contrary to what Ariana thinks, she knows that she’s funny and intelligent.

Later on in the episode, the topic of Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval’s joint birthday trip came up. Katie Maloney, who is now friends with Kristen again, voiced her opinion that Kristen should be invited, something that Jax also wanted since he was friends with Kristen again.

Not surprisingly, Ariana and Tom were not pleased about the possibility that their nemesis could be going along on the trip. Tom in particular was very vocal with his opposition. He practically exploded in anger. He stood up and yelled at Katie.

“I don’t know why we would even talk about that, she’s a f***ing liability. Do people have amnesia? Did they drink some strange Kool-Aid?”

Kristen defended Katie on social media. Kristen tweeted that Tom and Ariana’s response to Katie saying that she should be invited to the birthday trip was “insane.”

“Let’s be real you guys, katie wasn’t kristen-crusading. their response was insane. calling her a motherf**ker?”

Katie agreed that she wasn’t campaigning for Kristen.

Katie admitted that she felt that Ariana and Tom’s reactions were “extreme.”

Katie believes that it’s unhealthy for Ariana and Tom to get so upset by Kristen.

Ariana agreed with a viewer who tweeted that she and Tom weren’t holding onto a grudge but have simply decided to move on from Kristen.

As for all the criticism that she received from viewers for her reaction to Kristen’s apology, Ariana pointed out that viewers told her last year that she didn’t speak up enough but now that she does, she’s branded a “b**ch.”

“They were chomping at the bit. Last year, I ‘didn’t speak up’. I do and now I’m a ‘b**ch’. Laughable!”

As for Tom Sandoval’s explosive anger upon hearing Kristen Doute’s name, Ariana Madix revealed that Tom had already told his friends that he doesn’t want Kristen going on the trip. Those earlier conversations had apparently been edited out of Vanderpump Rules.
