Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton’s New Year’s Eve Plans Revealed As They Attend NFL Game Together
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will both be working on New Year’s Eve, but maybe the cute couple will be able to sneak in an NYE kiss at the end of the night – as it just so happens, The Voice coaches will both be in the Big Apple for the holiday. Gwen and Blake are getting more and more comfortable with public PDA, so perhaps the NBC cameras will catch them sharing a smooch to ring in 2016.
On Sunday afternoon, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton made a major public appearance as a couple when they checked out an NFL game together. The couple headed to Arizona’s University of Phoenix Stadium to watch the Cardinals play the Green Bay Packers, and Us Weekly reports that Gwen and Blake some time snapping selfies on the sidelines during the pregame warm-ups. Blake is a longtime fan of the Cardinals, and it looks like Gwen Stefani is now, too – she continued borrowing her boyfriend’s style by rocking a camouflage baseball hat adorned with a Cardinals logo. Luckily for Gwen, her boyfriend’s team colors just so happen to match her signature red lip.

The Arizona Cardinals also shared a photo of Gwen and Blake on the team’s Twitter page that shows the couple caught in the act of taking one of those sideline selfies. As you can see, Gwen also color-coordinated her cute, shiny red booties with her lipstick and the Cardinals logo.

It’s only a few days until New Year’s Eve, and this might be the next big public appearance that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton make together. According to Broadway World, Gwen Stefani is going to perform “Used to Love You” during NBC’s live NYE special, New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly. As Extra reports, Blake Shelton gushed over Gwen’s performance of the song on The Voice a few weeks ago. He said that Gwen deserved for the sad tune to end up being the “smash song that it’s turning into,” and he also tweeted that her performance was “amazing.”
NBC hasn’t revealed whether Blake Shelton will be reuniting with Voice castmates Gwen Stefani and Carson Daly on the network’s New Year’s Eve special, but he will be in New York to appear on another NBC show airing earlier in the night. According to the Futon Critic, Blake Shelton is one of the numerous celebrity guests appearing on the network’s A Toast to 2015! special. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb are hosting the show that will take a look back at some of 2015’s moments, and Blake and Gwen’s romance was definitely one of them. Other celebrities appearing on the two-hour prime-time special include Eva Longoria, Zooey Deschanel, Michael Bublé, Bethenny Frankel, and Howie Mandel.
If Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani do get to spend New Year’s Eve with another, it will be the third major holiday that they’ve celebrated together. According to Us Weekly, they were spotted getting close and cuddly at Adam Levine’s Halloween party on October 31, and the Daily Mail reports that they both attended George Clooney’s Halloween bash the night before. Gwen Stefani proved that Blake Shelton’s style was already rubbing off on her by dressing up like a cowgirl.
People reports that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton also spent at least part of their Christmas holidays together at Blake’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. While there, they enjoyed living a simple kind of life that included activities like slurping on Dairy Queen soft serve and shopping at Atwoods.
