Brandon Davis, Paris Hilton BFF And Oil Heir, Charged With Drunk Driving For October Car Crash

Brandon Davis, oil heir and Paris Hilton associate, has been charged with drunk driving for an October car wreck that destroyed his Mercedes Benz and sent him to the hospital, TMZ reports.

Sources told TMZ that Davis was driving with a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit and that he was arrested at hospital after the crash while doctors were taking care of him.

Davis is the heir to the Marvin Davis oil and entertainment empire. His grandfather, Marvin Davis, was an industrialist and philanthropist. He made his fortune at the helm of Davis Petroleum and had once owned Twentieth Century Fox, The Pebble Beach Corporation, The Aspen Skiing Company, and The Beverly Hills Hotel.

According to TMZ, normally a charge like this would have meant that Brandon Davis was eligible for probation. However, his prior record could make that unlikely. In 2011, Davis pled guilty to cocaine possession. So, for the DUI charge, he could face 6 months in jail, TMZ reports.

Davis crashed his car on October 1, after dining at Matsuhisa in West Hollywood with his friend, Mike Comrie, who happens to be Hilary Duff’s ex-husband. He then reportedly headed to 1Oak nightclub in Hollywood. According to several media reports, he lost control of the black Mercedes S5550 around 2 a.m. as he was driving home. He crashed on Bennedict Canyon in Beverly Hills and was lucky to make it out alive.

As the Daily Mail reports, pictures of the wreck show that the right side of the vehicle was almost completely ripped off.

Davis was the only person involved in the crash, according to this article in Us Weekly. Also, there were birthday cards all over the scene of the crash. Brandon Davis’ birthday is on October 2.

At the time, Entertainment Tonight reported that Davis’ Mercedes Benz flipped several times in the air, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, but that he was “very responsive” when officers arrived at the scene of the crash.

In 2011, Brandon Davis was arrested for battery and cocaine possession. According to the Daily Mail, he was arrested outside of The Roosevelt Hotel after a night out with a group of friends that included Paris Hilton. He allegedly punched comedian Ben Gleib. The article states that Brandon Davis was searched after the police were called, and that’s when they reportedly found the controlled substance on him. Earlier that evening, Davis had had dinner with the Hilton sisters, Paris and Nicky, at the Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

As the Daily Mail reports, Brandon’s brother, Jason Davis, has a history of drug addiction. Jason was arrested on drug charges just days after he completed appearing on popular reality television show, Celebrity Rehab.

Brandon Davis is most famous for dubbing Lindsay Lohan firecrotch in a 2006 video with Paris Hilton. In the early 2000s, he was also romantically connected to actress Mischa Barton as well as Brittny Gastineau, Cheyenne Tozzi, and Rachael Leigh Cook. According to the Daily Mail, he called Mischa Barton a fat heifer after they broke up.

He has also previously checked into rehab twice. Last year, Brandon Davis was also accused of beating up actor Jeremy Jackson in a fight that erupted at a Paris Hilton party. At the time, TMZ reported that Jackson said Brandon Davis attacked him at the party.

“They were literally going Rodney King on my ass,” Jackson said and claimed that someone broke a liquor bottle over his head.

According to TMZ, Paris Hilton’s recollection of the incident was completely different. She claimed that Jeremy Jackson came to the party uninvited, accompanied by a couple of his friends. When he was asked to leave by Brandon Davis, Jackson started behaving in an aggressive manner, saying “Don’t you know who I am? I was on ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Celebrity Rehab’.” Based on Hilton’s account, Jackson grabbed one of the guys at the party and started strangling him. Some of the other party guests tried to subdue him and in doing so, Jackson got hit over the head with a liquor bottle.

Brandon Davis did not face criminal charges as a result of the fight at Paris Hilton’s party.
