Snoop Dogg Snaps at Reporter After Pot Arrest

Rapper Snoop Dogg, as we reported yesterday, got into a spot of trouble with police in Europe for… taking part in a protest? Going 50 in a 30 zone? Indecent exposure?

Nah. Snoop, as Snoop is wont to do, got in trouble with the law in Norway for carrying a small quantity of weed on his person. When drug-sniffing dogs at the border assisted in searching the famed West Coast rapper, they are reported to have found the tiny bit of pot and landed Snoop in hot water.

Earlier this year, the rapper encountered similar trouble in Texas, where he was also arrested on a pot possession charge. But in Norway, Snoop was able to pay a small fine of $8,600 (or 52,000 kroner) and skip along his merry way to a scheduled appearance.

Of course, when Snoop arrived, a reporter wanted to talk about his earlier ordeal. According to E!, Snoop arrived at the Hove Festival five hours late, prompting questions from a VGTV reporter as to what held the rapper up for so long — but Snoop wasn’t in an explaining mood.

The site says that when Snoop was asked why he was late, he snapped:

“Man, shut the f–k up… I’m here…be happy I’m here and ask some real questions.”

The unnamed reporter then directly asked Snoop if he’d been arrested, and Snoop snapped:

“I was late ’cause I went to go get some chicken wings…’cause I wanted to see Norway up close and personal, and visit an old folks’ home. I went to visit a convalescent home. That’s why I was late… I don’t party…get this mothaf–ka outta here.”

  1. Let’s keep celebrities and everyday citizens from crowding our courts and jails contributing to the money pit that is the War on Pot. When will our Government realize it can profit more from taxing the sale of the harmless medicinal herb than by jailing people for it? Groups are organizing all over the country to speak their minds on reforming pot laws and defending this plant. I drew up a very cool poster for the cause which you can check out on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/01/vote-teapot-2011.html Drop in and let me know what you think!
