The Kentucky Wildcats became the first team in history to have two of its players picked number 1 in 2 during the NBA draft. Anthony Davis was taken number 1 by the New Orleans Hornets and his former teammate Michael Kidd-Gilchrist went number 2 to the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Associated Press reports that Kentucky’s entire starting five could be scooped up by the end of the first round.

Davis, who recently trademarked his unibrow, said:

“It’s crazy… Michael (Kidd-Gilchrist) is a great player. We have two down and four more to go. Hopefully all of them will go in the first round.”

Just a few months ago Anthony Davis, a freshman, led his team to the NCAA Championship in New Orleans. Now he’ll be heading down to the big easy to start his NBA career.

Davis said:

“I just want to come in and do the best I can.”

Davis, who stands 6 foot 10, averaged 14.2 per game during his first and only year at Kentucky. He also averaged 10.4 rebounds and 4.7 blocks.
