Yolanda Foster Doesn’t ‘Blame’ Lisa Rinna For Lyme Disease Doubts On ‘RHOBH,’ But Claims She’s Not ‘Compassionate’ Or ‘Confident’

Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease was a hot topic amongst her co-stars on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which aired on December 22. However, despite what many fans may have assumed, the mother of three isn’t too offended by Lisa Rinna’s Munchausen comments. Instead, she claims to be understanding of her confusion and the confusion of other cast members.

Although Yolanda Foster claims she was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, not all of her co-stars seem convinced. During an episode earlier this month, Taylor Armstrong seemed confused by Yolanda Foster’s “happy selfie, sick selfie” Instagram feed. Then, on Monday, Rinna admitted to having questions about the illness as well and brought up the idea of Munchausen syndrome during a chat with Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards.

According to Rinna, those with Munchausen Syndrome fake illnesses and physical symptoms, and go to extreme lengths for treatment, in order to gain sympathy. Meanwhile, Yolanda Foster is known for her unconventional treatments, which she often shares photos of on Instagram.

While Rinna’s comments were a bit surprising, as was her revelation of having several people confront her with questions about Yolanda Foster’s illness, Foster defended her behavior in her December 22 blog for Bravo by seemingly insulting her in a number of ways.

“Rinna is right. She’s only human and it takes a compassionate and confident woman to hold ground under social pressure – it’s so much easier to take the common road and get on board the train of the misinformed and the doubtful,” Yolanda Foster wrote.

“I don’t blame Rinna, Kyle or LVDP – I understand it and feel sorry to see my battle be such a point of weakness for them,” Yolanda Foster added.

In her own blog, Rinna explained why she brought up Munchausen syndrome and admitted she felt bad about doing so.

“I don’t feel good about it and I was very upset that I engaged in these conversations with others that are as naive as I am about Lyme Disease, but I did and I shared it with these women,” Rinna wrote, adding that she immediately felt she should speak to Yolanda Foster directly before commenting further.

In addition to facing questions about her Lyme disease, Yolanda Foster was recently targeted with tons of rumors regarding her recent divorce announcement, which ironically was shared just hours before the sixth season premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on December 1. However, according to her soon-to-be ex-husband, the majority of the stories swirling around about what led to their breakup are untrue.

During an interview with People Magazine, David offered the following statement in regard to his relationship with Yolanda Foster and her illness.

“Over the past few weeks, a great deal of inaccurate or baseless information has been reported claiming to represent my thoughts and feelings. It is painful to watch this happen repeatedly – especially while trying to cope with the personal nature of the challenges surrounding the breakup of our loving marriage,” David said.

“I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for [Yolanda Foster], which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness. I have been by [Yolanda Foster’s] side over the past four years to the best of my ability as she battled with the complexities of her Lyme diagnosis.”
