Madonna’s Son Rocco Refuses To Return To U.S., International Custody Battle Starts Over Christmas

It seems that Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son Rocco has had enough of being dragged all over the world following his mother’s tour, and he wants to live in the U.K. with his dad. He went over to London and now won’t come back. Madonna has rushed into court to force Rocco back to the States, and Guy Ritchie has countered by doing the same in response to allow Rocco, 15, to stay with him in England. This is now an international custody battle.

According to the Inquisitr, international custody battles can get very tricky, as seen in the situation involving Kelly Rutherford, who now cannot see her children outside of France and Monaco. Rutherford tried to change the custody situation be refusing to send the children back to their father in Monaco. But Rutherford’s children are younger, and the courts are more likely to let Rocco Ritchie make his own decisions about where he wants to live.

Radar Online is reporting that Madonna is frantic and wants Rocco back in the United States by Christmas, which is unlikely to happen, as it is now Christmas Eve. It seems Rocco “ran away” from Madonna’s tour in Stockholm, shaking off his nanny, and headed to his dad’s in London.

“M and Rocco were having bad shouting matches,” the site’s source claimed. “She’d be crying and yelling at him.”

Basing on these rumors, it seems Rocco has had enough of his mom, and now wants to live with Guy Ritchie.

“He took off for his dad’s house and hasn’t seen her since,” the source said.

Madonna allegedly raged in court but could not get an order that would force Rocco to return to the U.S.

The Daily Mail says that Madonna doesn’t care if Rocco wants to stay in the U.K, and that he must return to her custody, but Guy Ritchie is ready to fight. The judge in New York, Justice Deborah Kaplan, appointed an attorney for Rocco and said that he must return to his mother’s custody to argue that he wants to stay with his father.

“I’m directing the child to be returned to New York,’ Kaplan told the singer, who showed up in court in a black cape. ‘If he wants to stay with his father, he must return to his mother.”

Guy Ritchie reportedly then went to court in London, and got a contradictory answer from the court, so the ball is now in Madonna’s court.

Page Six is saying that the judge has ordered Rocco to spend Christmas with his mother, Madonna, but he is still refusing.

“He has expressed very clearly that he does not want to return to New York,” Ritchie’s attorney Eric Buckley told the judge.

A source close to the case is saying that Rocco will not be returning, and now wants to live full time with his father.

“The boy said he didn’t want to stay with her,” the source said. “He’s not getting along with his mom, which is not a surprise for a child that age.”

Rocco has only shown interest in working behind the scenes, and does not want to be a singer or a performer.

“I think he’s probably gonna work behind the scenes,” Madonna told EW.com. “He’s not interested in performing on stage with me right now. There’s way cooler things,” she said.

Do you think Madonna’s son Rocco will return to the United States, or stay in London with his dad, Guy Ritchie?
