Drake Dissing Chris Brown On Instagram? ‘Hotline Bling’ Rapper Fuels Feud Rumors With Comment

Drake and Chris Brown are no strangers to feuding with one another on social media, but it appears Drake is reigniting the feud rumors with Chris Brown after seemingly dissing the “Loyal” singer on Instagram on Tuesday.

According to The Shade Room, Drake took to Instagram yesterday to respond to a fan’s post that asks followers to compare the “Hotline Bling” rapper and “Back To Sleep” singer, instantly sparking a heated debate among fans in the comments section of the user’s photo.

The post in question, which shows Chris Brown posing for a fun photo with Justin Bieber, asks followers whether or not they prefer Chris Brown or Drake, with the caption of the user’s photo noting that they “like both” artists.

Not long after the post was uploaded, Drake took to the comments section of the user’s photo to weigh-in with his own opinion on the Chris Brown versus Drake debate, simply replying to the user’s question with, “Chris.”

In response to Drake’s comment, The Shade Room asked followers whether or not Drake was “being petty” towards Chris Brown on the social media site, prompting Instagram users to debate the meaning behind Drake’s reply.

While some users interpreted Drake’s comment to be a sarcastic dig at Chris Brown, the majority of fans argue that Drake may be trying to call an end to his ongoing conflict with Chris Brown.

One user explains, “How is this being petty? I think he’s just tryna squash beef,” while another adds, “Drake saying that he likes Chris Brown. I do too.”

While neither Drake nor Chris Brown commented on the feud speculation, some fans also expressed their confusion over whether or not the duo is back on good terms following Drake and Chris Brown’s spat that occurred earlier this year.

Last year, Chris Brown infamously dissed his then-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, on Instagram after he accused the model of having a romantic relationship with Drake while he was serving a jail sentence for violating his probation.

Following Karrueche Tran’s claims that she broke things off with Chris Brown shortly after he was released from jail, Chris Brown took to Instagram to tell the model, “I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake!,” TMZ reports.

While both Karrueche Tran and Drake denied the dating claims, Drake seemingly escalated his beef with Chris Brown when he referenced Brown’s tumultuous relationship with Karrueche Tran on his track, “Live From The Gutter.”

In the song, Drake raps, “This for my n***** on that bull**** and that nonsense / This for my dogs that go Karrueche with the chopsticks,” prompting Chris Brown to publicly speak out against Drake’s diss.

“I’m too blessed for the bull****. People who have had to sit and watch me for years do me and watch their females actually love me always show their insecurities,” Chris Brown wrote in response to Drake’s track, “A lot of people are unhappy and a lot of these artists lie to the fans or rely on hype to gain substance. You n***** bore me,” E! News reports.

In addition, the dating rumors between Drake and Karrueche Tran surfaced just weeks ago after Karrueche was photographed posing for a picture with Drake’s father.

While neither Drake nor Chris Brown commented on the photo, fans were quick to speculate that Karrueche may be trying to get close to Drake following her split from Chris Brown earlier this year.
