Snoop Dogg Fined For Marijuana Possession In Norway
Norwegian media outlets are reporting that Snoop Dogg was briefly detained by customs officials in Norway after they found him carrying marijuana and a large sum of cash.
Custom officials have not confirmed the identity of Snoop Dogg but did say that an American artist was detained after entering the country with marijuana. According to the Huffington Post, officials can not name suspects under Norwegian law.
NOLA.com reports that a sniffing dog betrayed Snoop as he was going through customs. Once the marijuana was found, officials searched Snoop and his luggage and found that he was carrying more cash into the country than is legally allowed. Snoop was fined $8,600 (52,000 kroner) for the violation.
Snoop Dogg, who is currently in Norway to play a concert in Kristiansand hasn’t commented on the incident. He did, however, sent out a tweet saying that he missed California.
“Women. Weed. N weather. I. Miss. D. West!! Cuz.
This, of course, isn’t the first time that Snoop Dogg has been arrested / fined for smoking marijuana. Earlier this year the rapper was arrested for pot possession in Texas.
