Harry Styles Rumors: Is Taylor Swift Avoiding Him And Planning To Diss Him On NYE?

Rumors are centering around Harry Styles and his famous ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, especially now that the singer has announced that she will premiere her new video for “Out of the Woods” on New Year’s Eve.

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, Taylor Swift took to Twitter to share the exciting news, “I can’t wait to show you the video for ‘Out of the Woods!’ It’s premiering 12/31 on @NYRE with @RyanSeacrest. #OOTWMusicVideo.”

You better drop your plans on Dec. 31 because Taylor Swift has decided to drop her new music video on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Fans have been looking forward to the video, which is said to be about her relationship with Harry Styles. Not only will Swift premiere her highly-anticipated video (even more anticipated than “Bad Blood”), but she may plan to diss Styles, according to a Hollywood Life report.

“Out of the Woods” is said to be Taylor’s sixth single from her successful 1989 album. Her previous singles include “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” “Bad Blood,” and most recently, “Wildest Dreams.” Most of Taylor’s fans know that New Year’s Eve is a significant holiday to the couple referred to as Haylor by their fans. Back in 2013, the couple confirmed the relationship rumors and rang in the New Year with an adorable kiss. In a fan-filmed video taken at the event, Harry and Taylor can be seen counting down to midnight before they kiss each other.

So, it would make sense that the singer would choose the holiday to release her music video, which centers around their anxiety-ridden relationship. But the Hollywood Life report claims that choosing NYE to premiere her video about their relationship is “an oh so subtle dig at her ex.” Of course, this is not the first time that Swift has referenced Styles in on her music video.

In Taylor’s video for “Style,” – another song about Harry – she featured a Haylor reference in the form of an airplane necklace that she’s seen holding for a few seconds. Harry and Taylor wore the paper airplane necklaces when they briefly dated in 2012. During the short time they were dating, Taylor was spotted wearing the necklace, and many fans assumed that Harry gifted her the necklace as a symbol of his love.

Here’s another possible diss that Bustle has pointed out. Taylor Swift’s new video is premiering Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Eve, the same event that One Direction is headlining on that very night. That makes for a very interesting — and very awkward night!

Unfortunately for Haylor fans, the famous exes aren’t on good terms with each other. So it wouldn’t be surprising that they would go through great lengths to avoid each other. A rumor in the pages of Life & Style magazine claimed that Swift is using the “SUP” app to notify her when she’s close to Styles so she can avoid him.

“Although the app doesn’t show her Harry’s exact location, it does send Taylor an alert when he is nearby. Taylor will get an alert if Harry comes within 2,000 yards of her.”

The alleged snitch also claims that Styles is using the app as well, so he doesn’t run into Swift’s new boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris.

But the Gossip Cop has debunked the tabloid’s recent report. An inside source told the rumor-busting outlet that the story is “absolutely false.” There also appears to be a major flaw in Life & Style’s report. SUP is not even available for use in the U.S. According to SUP’s website, it’s “currently available in Singapore and will be in other major cities in 2016.” So it would be impossible for Taylor and Harry to use the app in the U.K. or the U.S. since it only works in Asia.
