Christina Aguilera & Gwen Stefani Feuding Ahead Of ‘The Voice’ Season 10?

Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani are reportedly at odds over the upcoming 10th season of The Voice.

Throughout Season 9, Stefani and her new boyfriend, Blake Shelton, paraded their romance on the show, leading to impressive ratings. And while there have been rumors about Stefani sticking around for Season 10 in an effort to continue to cash in on the ratings increase, a new report claims Christina Aguilera is determined to make sure that doesn’t happen.

“[Christina Aguilera] said that it was her show and gave a really big spiel about how she thinks that Gwen used this Blake thing to try and stay on the show,” a production source told Radar Online on December 21. “Now people are dreading her return.”

Christina Aguilera’s co-stars went public with their romance in November and quickly made it clear that they were completely head-over-heels for one another, both on The Voice and off.

While The Voice is a singing competition and typically focuses on the discovered talent, Season 9 took a turn in a different direction when Shelton and Stefani’s romance became an interesting storyline, as well. In fact, many new viewers may have tuned in not only to see the singing but also to see the new romance between the show’s stars.

With the 10th season of The Voice in the wings, viewers are preparing themselves for a much different show. Although the concept will surely be the same, they won’t be seeing the real-life romance between Shelton and Stefani since Christina Aguilera will be taking her role as a coach (for the last few seasons of The Voice, Christina Aguilera and Stefani have been alternating seasons).

Towards the end of the ninth season of The Voice, which aired last week, Christina Aguilera’s co-star Shelton expressed his frustration in Stefani not being included in Season 10. As Radar Online revealed, he even joked in an interview that the series should have five judges instead of four. Sadly, however, it doesn’t appear that Stefani will be joining himself, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams for Season 10.

“They have been switching the female judges on and off for over three seasons now and it has nothing to do with how well Gwen is performing” or what Christina Aguilera wants, the source explained. “It has more to do with just keeping it different by changing it up. As of right now, there are no plans to make it five judges.”

In other Christina Aguilera news, the singer was recently accused of being too drunk to perform at an event in Beverly Hills California. Last week, Page Six reported news of Christina Aguilera’s allegedly messy appearance, claiming she nearly fell into a Christmas tree after having a few too many.

“Seth asked [Christina Aguilera] five times to come up [and sing] and she refused,” a source claimed. “She was a mess. The reason she didn’t get up is because she was wasted.”

According to the report, Seth McFarlane was the host of the over-the-top bash and hoped to have several performers join him onstage to sing Frank Sinatra songs to audience members, including Sinatra’s daughter, Tina.

Later, claimed the source, “[Christina Aguilera’s] man [Matt Rutler] and her girlfriend had to hold her on each arm walking out,” a witness alleged. “She was wearing 6-inch custom Louboutins. She was literally wobbling, [and] she nearly fell into a Christmas tree.”
