Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Shares His Newborn Daughter With The World: ‘Christmas Came Early’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson received a surprise and he wants to share her with the entire world. While many celebrity couples choose to keep as many details of a newborn child as private as possible for as long as possible, The Rock doesn’t seem to share that same need for privacy, at least not as far as his Instagram followers are concerned.

What Does Dwayne Johnson Have To Be Grateful For And What’s Her Name?

Wednesday, December 16 was a very important day for Dwayne Johnson. It was the day that his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, gave birth to their daughter and forever changed his life. Once more proving that they are unlike many celebrity couples, Dwayne and Lauren wasted no time in sharing their new baby’s name with the world: Jasmine.

“Christmas came early,” Johnson wrote on the caption of the first photo of baby Jasmine.

Jasmine is the first child for both Dwayne and Lauren, which definitely shows in the way Johnson shares his excitement. He describes the feeling of having his child’s head resting against his chest and the gratitude that swells in his heart, as he thanks his fans and followers for their messages of congratulations.

For those wondering what Dwayne means when he speaks of being grateful, he describes just how Jasmine has brought those feelings of gratitude into his life.

“We’re extremely grateful. Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin to skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe… Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday,” Johnson explains. “If I can accomplish that, then I’d have a good shot at being a great father.”

The Rock Offers Some Advice To Younger Generations Of Men

Speaking as someone who’s not quite over the hill, yet has learned a thing or two about life, Dwayne offers some free advice. Johnson tells his male followers that the desire to be a better person will never send them down the wrong path. He says that setting such a goal can never lead away from the things that matter.

“Something else that’ll never steer you wrong is ‘walking thru the fire’ with your baby’s mama.”

In his case, Johnson was referring to the delivery of Jasmine, when he spoke of walking through the fire. The wrestler-turned-actor says he was right there with Lauren as she gave birth, watching the process through the contractions and the pain.

He mentions the cutting of the chord and wiping away the tears, though it’s not quite clear whether he was participating or just observing and lending moral support. It would certainly not be diminishing, if Johnson were there as more of a coach for Lauren; there would be nothing wrong with that and sometimes the medical staff prefers to do everything themselves, but it does seem like an unclear way to phrase it.

In November, Johnson shared the news that he and Lauren had learned the sex of the baby. Revealing that he had grown up in a household with a strong female presence, Dwayne surmised that his family still needed more strong women.

“I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more,” Johnson said. “IT’S A BABY GIRL!! THANK YOU guys so much for the awesome support and love you’ve sent [Lauren] and myself from around the world.”

Dwayne Johnson is a father previously with ex-wife Dany Garcia. They share custody of 14-year-old Simone.
