Beyoncé Spotted Filming New Music Video In New Orleans, Fans Freak Over Rumored Single Release

Beyoncé may be keeping mum when it comes to rumors surrounding her sixth studio album, but is Beyoncé gearing up to release a new single in early 2016? According to fans, new music from Beyoncé may be coming sooner than anticipated.

The new single rumors began on Saturday after Beyoncé was spotted in New Orleans alongside husband Jay Z, daughter Blue Ivy, and several of her dancers, instantly igniting rumors that Queen Bey may have something big in store for eager fans.

The rumors further escalated after a few local fans took to Twitter to weigh-in on the buzz surrounding Beyoncé’s arrival in New Orleans, with some noting that Beyoncé looks to be filming a new music video after the songstress reportedly had a part of the city shut down for a mysterious video shoot.

One fan explains, “Beyoncé is shooting a video in new Orleans and just had the street cameras turned off. The entire area. What a god.”

In addition, Unreality TV reports that one of Beyoncé’s dancers, Ashley Everett, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself alongside two of Beyoncé’s other dancers, seemingly fueling speculation that Beyoncé is working on shooting a new music video.

The site also quotes another Twitter user who explains, “As of right now, Beyoncé has rallied up her dancers and is now filming a video in New Orleans, RIGHT NOW. You didnt hear it from me though.”

While it’s unclear whether or not the music video and rumored new single in question will be featured on Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, fans have already taken to social media to share their excitement over the news that Beyoncé has been working on new material.

The news comes just one week after rumors surfaced suggesting that Beyoncé would be working on a video shoot after French choreographer Zach Reece posted a casting call to Facebook seeking dancers for Beyoncé’s new video. While the post was swiftly deleted, the casting call did indicate that a shoot would be taking place somewhere between December 14 and December 20, Unreality TV reports.

While Beyoncé has yet to confirm speculation regarding a tentative release date for her new album, it’s been reported by Beyoncé’s team that the songstress will likely not opt for another surprise album release for future projects. This, coupled with false rumors suggesting a late 2015 release for Beyoncé’s new album, further suggests that a new lead single from Queen Bey is possibly on the way.

The news comes just one day after a judge ruled in favor of Beyoncé and Jay Z regarding the rights to their collaborative hit, “Drunk In Love.”

According to Hip Hop DX, Hungarian songstress Mitsou sued Bey and Jay for sampling her voice from her song “Gypsy Life on the Road” in the first 90 seconds of their track. Mitsou was reportedly seeking damages from the couple over “blatant unauthorized use of [her] voice for trade purposes,” noting that the damages are causing “irreparable harm and emotional distress.”

Given that Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “Drunk In Love” was used for promotional and advertising purposes in regard to their HBO presentation of their “On The Run Tour,” Mitsou decided to file the suit under the Civil Rights Law, but was unsuccessful after a judge decided to dismiss the case.

“Courts have consistently held that Civil Rights Law does not apply to works of literary and artistic expression,” Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Cynthia Kern explained, “It is undisputed that the ‘Drunk In Love’ song and video are works of artistic expression and, pursuant to well established law, they are therefore exempted from the Civil Rights Law.”
