Source Says Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Planning To Adopt 20th Child

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 19 children, but a few of them are starting to move out of the home. Michelle has never been shy about the fact that she wants more children someday, but it just hasn’t been in the cards for them.

Radar Online shared the news that Jim Bob and Michelle are looking into adopting a 20th child. This would obviously get the focus off of Josh’s sex scandal and get everyone talking about something else about the Duggars.

A source shared that this could be happening soon if Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have their way about it.

“They’ve been mulling it over for a long time, and they feel the time is right to get legal advice and get the process underway. They’re looking to adopt a child in the New Year.”

Michelle Duggar has 19 children and, of course, their family is adding new grandchildren all the time. Back in 2011, Michelle suffered a miscarriage that was really hard on her, but now it sounds like she is ready to add another child to their family. They do have a lot of love to give, but the Duggars also have plenty of small children still at home.

“Michelle says she doesn’t care if they adopt a boy or a girl, or what ethnicity the child is. She says she just wants to help a child’s life.”

A source revealed that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar want to stay in the spotlight. They will do whatever they can to make sure that people are paying attention to their family. The reasons the Duggars have been in the news lately are not good ones, and they are hoping they can change that. If they adopt a baby, then maybe some of the focus will go on this great news instead of about Josh Duggar and all of the things he has done wrong.

Jessa and Ben Seewald have shared that they also want a big family like Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, but that they don’t want to have all of their children naturally. Jessa has plans to adopt a few of her children eventually, but just gave birth to her first son. The International Business Times shared that Michelle’s daughter Jessa had to put her adoption plans on hold for a bit. Most agencies require that a couple is married for two years before they actually adopt, and this means Ben and Jessa can’t even start the process just yet.

Even though Jessa Duggar Seewald had a baby of her own, this shouldn’t change her plans for adoption in the future. Jessa did share that she wants to adopt, but it just doesn’t look like it is in the cards just yet for this family.

“If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it’s not going to quench our desire to adopt…. We hope to adopt a lot of kids.”

Michelle Duggar’s children seem to have plans for big families as well. So far, Josh and Anna Duggar have four children, Jill Duggar Dillard has one and Jessa Seewald just had her first baby. None of them seem to have plans to stop having children anytime soon, so Michelle Duggar will obviously have more grandchildren in the future.
