New York Giants fans can watch Monday Night Football live online from Miami as the Dolphins attempt to bury the Giants in the playoff race with a win that would likely mean that the New York franchise, winners of two Super Bowls in the past eight seasons, would miss the NFL postseason for the fourth straight year — while with a win, Miami would at least mathematically remain in the playoff picture, though the Dolphins postseason would require a miracle to come true.
In fact, after the AFC East-leading New England Patriots defeated the Houston Texans on Sunday, a loss not only eliminates Miami, but seals the seventh straight divisions championship, and 11th of the last 12 seasons, for the Patriots.
The only other AFC East team to win the division since 2003?
The Miami Dolphins, in 2008.
While a division title in 2015 appears unlikely, to say the least, the 5-7 Dolphins still would like to spoil the party for the Giants, who also come in with a 5-7 record, but with a win would move into an improbable three-way tie for the NFC East division lead.
The game could come down to a battle of two 23-year-old receivers who, off the field, remain good friends after they were teammates at Louisiana State University — Odell Beckham Jr. of New York and Jarvis Landry of Miami. Landry already has 79 receptions this year, needing just 21 in four games to break the 100 barrier. Beckham is right on his tail with 78, after hauling in 91 as a rookie last season.

The Giants have only themselves to blame for their losing record, with five of their seven defeats coming on blown leads in the final two minutes of the game. In those losses, New York has been outscored by a mere 12 points, including a pair of one-point losses — by identical 27-26 scores — to the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.
“We’ve got to play better at some critical moments in the game. We do some good things, we get close, we do a lot of good things, and it’s just kind of that final step, those last few yards, and the difference between winning games and losing games… We’re just not making that crucial play to get us the win.”
The inter-conference matchup between the Giants and Dolphins is a rare one. Since the merger of the National Football League and American Football League in 1970, Miami and New York have met only seven times.
Though the Dolphins won the first game, which came in Miami’s legendary undefeated season of 1972, the Giants have won five of the six games since then, most recently in 2011, when New York playing at home came away with a 20-17 victory.
