‘Prison Break 5’ Season 5 Confirmed, Details Start To Be Revealed

Ever since the news came out that Prison Break would be coming back for a fifth season, fans have wanted to know all of the details. The show Prison Break was a huge success, and hopefully it will be just as good the second time around. TV Line shared earlier this year that it was official that Prison Break was coming back. When this news was confirmed, they shared that Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell would be brought back together once again, but everyone wants to know how this will work out.

This new version of Prison Break is considered a sequel, and it will all start a few years after Prison Break originally ended. They are only confirmed for 10 episodes at this time, but of course, if ratings are good on the new Prison Break, then they could find a way to continue it. If you remember how Prison Break came to an end, Wentworth Miller’s character was dead, but he will be back once again. Hopefully they don’t just ignore the fact that he died, but it has been confirmed he will be back.

MStarz shared a few details that are coming out about Prison Break Season 5. The show is expected to start airing in March of 2016 and, of course, it will be on Fox. Prison Break will have 10 episodes. They have confirmed this may not be when it starts in the U.K., though. Sarah Wayne Callies, who was on Prison Break and also The Walking Dead, has not confirmed yet if she will be back again on the show. Fans would love to see her, but she shared that it is unknown.

“No one’s asked me yet, so I don’t know. If we can find a way to honor [Sara and Michael] by telling a beautiful continuing story — and my bosses [on Colony] let me do another show — I would love to. There is such a long list of things that are out of my hands, but my heart is very, very excited about it.”

Right now, Sarah Wayne Callies is working on Colony, which starts in January, but hopefully if they want her, she can find a way to fit in Prison Break, as well. Christian Today shared that there are rumors flying that Sarah will come back to Prison Break again. She was pregnant when the show ended, and of course, all of the Prison Break fans want to see her back again and the baby that she had with Michael. There are rumors flying also that Robert Knepper as Theodore Bagwell, Amaury Nolasco as Fernando Sucre, and William Fichtner as Alexander Mahone will all return, but it is not official yet either.

The Independent even shared that Prison Break is coming back because of the fact that viewers have been watching it so much on Netflix and loving it. This has proved that it is obvious that people are still interested in these characters and are watching them as much as they can. That is a great reason to bring Prison Break back for a fifth season on Fox. Hopefully it will come back in March of 2016, but viewers are going to just have to keep waiting on Fox to share the exact return date. You know you do not want to miss the Prison Break return.
