‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ News: Release Date Moved Up, Eva Mendes And Ryan Gosling To Play Leads?

The latest Grand Theft Auto 6 news is starting to trickle in, along with plenty of rumors including a proposed GTA 6 release date. It’s difficult to predict which of these rumors are true, and in one case, many of us were fooled.

There was a fake Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer “leaked” a while back, and even after it was revealed to be a hoax, gamers’ appetites had already been fed. YouTube channel MrBossFTW posted a video (below) explaining what happened, and according to the comments, the channel the fake trailer had been posted to has been taken down.

Either Rockstar Games had a problem with the fake trailer, or the one who posted it had enough of the hate comments such a thing will inevitably generate and decided it was better to just leave.

For now, there is no official GTA 6 trailer yet, but recent Grand Theft Auto 6 news dropped by head developer Leslie Benzies is that they are already working on the game. This morsel comes from Christian Post, who also stated that the game’s map could be taking a queue from Ubisoft’s The Crew.

The upcoming sandbox world could span the entire United States, with options for fast travel made famous in nearly every other sandbox franchise to date. Who wants to drive all the way from South Central Los Angeles to Maine for any reason other than to unlock a potential trophy or achievement?

Rumors have also expanded on a previous possibility that GTA 6 may feature a female lead, as reported by the Inquisitr. The unofficial Grand Theft Auto 6 news from Cross Map is that celebrity couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes could be voicing the lead characters, mirroring what Bruce Willis and Demi Moore did in Beavis and Butthead Do America.

Since GTA V featured three male leads, some gamers might not be happy about having one less choice. Keep it in mind that the last game was initially made for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and this could be the first time the franchise will be made exclusive to the Xbox One and PS4. This also indicates that more details and graphical prowess will be expected. The current generation consoles have been out for two years now, and Rockstar Games has had experience with them already, perfecting GTA V and its online companion over several months.

In an effort to add to the detail and overall chaos, the latest round of Grand Theft Auto 6 news could be disastrous, but in a good way. You might have flashbacks of the movies 2012 and San Andreas as natural disasters happen around you, according to Venture Capital Post.

Most of this is unconfirmed, but it’s possible that things like tornadoes and earthquakes may happen during the story mode, since earthquakes could make for some radical daily changes to the world map in online mode. Players’ virtual homes and regular routes to common locations could be destroyed, and create more frustration than fun.

There has been a rumored update in Grand Theft Auto 6 news about the release date as well. Apparently, Rockstar Games could be aiming for a 2018 launch, but if that is official, we need to remember that it could be delayed to 2020 as previously reported, in order to make it as good as possible.

Batman: Arkham Knight had been initially delayed six months after its official release date was leaked. It only means that the developers want to give gamers a quality release and not just drop a mess of glitches making the game unplayable. This was why Arkham Knight for PC had been recalled and re-released.

The latest Grand Theft Auto 6 news points to a massive release date, but a lot is still unconfirmed and unknown. What would you like to see in GTA 6?
