WWE News: Daniel Bryan Claims He Is Coming To A Compromise With WWE On Getting Back In The Ring

WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has been out of the ring for months due to a concussion he sustained earlier this year. He just managed to make a comeback to the ring after nearly a year away with a major injury that forced him to have surgery. This led him to dropping the WWE World Heavyweight Championship he won at WrestleMania 30 without ever losing.

WWE decided to throw him in a ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 31, which he won. He then had to drop that championship without ever losing it as well. The reason was due to the concussion, as WWE felt he needed to take time off due to the ordeal. This was done clearly out of health reasons, but then it became very evident that WWE was also trying to save their own skin at the end of the day.

Due to the concussion lawsuit WWE is facing, if he were to get hurt while in the ring, Bryan would pretty much assure WWE would lose their case in court against those fighting WWE in the lawsuit. Bryan does feel that he is ready to go however. In an interview during an Asian tour, Bryan told the Straits Times what the hold up is.

“Because of my history with concussions, the WWE medical doctor wouldn’t clear me. We’re in the process of trying to figure out some compromise. They keep sending me to do more tests, brain MRIs, brain EGs and all my tests have come back great to the point where my brain is better than someone my age with no concussion.”

If Daniel Bryan has a clean MRI alone, it shows that he is good to go. However, he has seemingly had every other test they could go with that would make 100 percent sure he is okay. If he is showing that his brain is perfectly fine and even another concussion would not risk permanent damage most likely, then he could get out in the ring tomorrow with no worry from a medical perspective.

Clearly WWE is worried that he could yet again find himself hurt. However, in WWE he has stayed relatively free of concussions. This is really his first true injury since signing, but he did have a few on the independent scene. While it is good of WWE to worry about Bryan from a health perspective, the real thing here is that WWE is not clearing him due to the lawsuit. Every person knows this by now, as Bryan could show them that his brain and head is better than John Cena’s and it wouldn’t matter.

This is why it appears Daniel Bryan is trying to come to a compromise. They may have him sign a form or something similar to clear WWE of responsibility if he were to find himself permanently damaged from something like a head injury while working for them. WWE has talent sign forms similar to this all the time, but nothing that removes them from complete responsibility. WWE even pays for surgeries for many of the Superstars and Divas if they get hurt. They, of course. do not provide insurance, so this is a good way to help talent out a bit.

WWE even pays for drug rehab for past and current WWE Superstars and Divas. They do a lot for the health and safety of Superstars, but at the end of the day, a great deal of this is simply to save their own skin in the public forum. It would be a big blow to WWE stock if they were to lose a concussion lawsuit. With eyeballs on this issue now more than ever with movies and various studies, WWE is in a position where they cannot take a risk.

That is the main reason Daniel Bryan is not working in the ring right now with WWE. If the two can come to a compromise, look for it to be something that rids WWE of all responsibility and publicly tells people that Bryan knowingly put himself in a position where he could get hurt despite WWE being opposed to it.
