WWE News: Triple H Announced Next NXT Takeover Special During WrestleMania Weekend

The WWE isn’t doing well in the ratings, so obviously, changes are needed to fix the current problems. Logic is a key component to keeping WWE fans around. When Roman Reigns defeated the entire League of Nations by himself on WWE Smackdown last week, why did he have an issue with them on WWE Raw and an entire team with him? Also, WWE’s main event stars just aren’t drawing enough interest. Reigns and Sheamus are not getting the job done.

Luckily for WWE fans, there are more options than just WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. Triple H started a revolution at NXT and it’s only getting bigger by the day. Before, it was called FCW and the wrestlers were simply there for developmental. They had a championship and ran it like a wrestling territory, but the gym had zero amenities and the wrestlers didn’t have what they do now.

So, Triple H wanted to turn a developmental location into a brand. NXT was born and now they are currently touring the United Kingdom. On Wednesday, the NXT roster will perform in their quarterly NXT Takeover event in London. Finn Balor is set to defend his NXT Heavyweight championship against Samoa Joe. The writing is consistently superb and with only an hour to write each week, it’s easier to create feuds and make them stick.

WWE NXT is only getting more-popular. There were talks of having an NXT show during the weekend of WrestleMania 32.

“WWE COO Triple H announced on Twitter that the next edition of the highly acclaimed series of WWE Network live specials is coming to Dallas on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. NXT has made a huge impact in 2015 as it grew into a worldwide phenomenon, including sold-out specials in Brooklyn, N.Y., and London. 2016 looks to be even bigger for NXT, with TakeOver coming to the Lone Star State.”

Like any other NXT Takeover special, they will bring out all of the stops to entertain the fans. Also, knowing the talent pool in WWE NXT, they will want to out-perform WrestleMania. Hopefully, Vince McMahon makes his biggest show of the year a “cant-miss” program. That means McMahon may have to change the card to adhere to the fans’ wants and needs.

For example, if Sheamus and Roman Reigns were the main event of WrestleMania, minimal people would actually care. That sounds harsh, but that’s just the reality of the situation. WWE Raw consistently gets record-low ratings. Instead of improving the product and building new stars, they are relying on part-time superstars to carry the WWE back to the promised land.

Triple H was recently talking about NXT Takeover London and he believes this is a show where the NXT talents can make a name for themselves.

“So this will be huge – not only for us to evaluate them but it’s also a chance for the talent to grow. That opportunity to go and work in front of different crowds that like different styles and the thing that you used to do here doesn’t work over there, or works better, you know, you’ve got to be able to learn and evolve on the fly.”

Each week, WWE NXT changes the game. Triple H created a new brand that could become more-popular than the main roster. It sounds like a big challenge, but the WWE main roster is digressing, while WWE NXT is only improving.
