Taylor Swift: ‘Fearless’ Singer Wants To Be More ‘Spontaneous’ In 2016

Taylor Swift may want to go back to her Fearless roots after her 1989 World Tour ends on Saturday, December 12. The singer says she would like to be a bit more “spontaneous” and “impulsive” in 2016.

Taylor Swift, 25, is often known as a planner who controls every aspect of her career and image. But it looks like Swift wants to change a few things about herself. She recently revealed that she always planned her career two years in advance. Ever since Swift’s debut album, she’s released an album every two years, like clockwork. But now she would like to be more relaxed and allow her story to “write itself” for a change.

“What I’m looking forward to in 2016 is not knowing what’s next. I’ve always planned my career a year or two in advance, and I refused to do that this time. 1989 was such a huge chapter in my life and career, and it’s an exciting thought to let the story write itself now for a while.”

During her recent interview with People magazine, Taylor looked back fondly on the year 2015. But she did admit that the most challenging part of her career was visiting many cities during her 1989 World Tour.

“The most challenging part of the year was being on-point for every show of a huge stadium tour. There was a lot to remember and balance with all the surprise guest performances, but it was worth it. I feel like we created memories I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”

Taylor also feels “lucky” to have so many friends in her life right now. The year 2015 has given her many A-list friends from Gigi Hadid to Cara Delevingne to even Blake Lively. Taylor claims that she doesn’t have control in how she chooses her friendships or relationships, despite what people may say.

“Things are good right now but I’m never going to be stupid, foolish or ignorant enough to think I have control over the public. All I can control is making good music.”

“I am so lucky that people seem to like me right now, but in no way, shape or form is it a permanent thing. And I think being aware of that is what keeps you smart and is what keeps you on the game.”

This comes after the rumors that Taylor Swift is planning a three-year break after her world tour. It looks like there’s a little bit of truth after these rumors. According to the Hollywood Life, Swift wants to take some additional time so she can spend more time with her friends, her family, and her boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris. The inside source added that Swift will still write music during her break, but she will only record it when the time feels right.

Taylor Swift only has a few dates late in her world tour. Her first celebration after her tour ends will be her birthday on Sunday, Dec. 13. It was previously assumed that Taylor would fly her girl squad and boyfriend down to Hamilton Island, Australia to celebrate, but she has since taken to Instagram to deny those rumors. In her Instagram post, Taylor claims that she will only have a small and intimate birthday this year.

Swift previously hinted about her prolonged break to NME magazine back in October. During the interview, she admitted that she had no clue what she plans to do on her break, which is probably just her story “writing itself,” for a change. Swift said during her break that she will spend more time with her friends and maybe or maybe not write music. The reason why she wants to take a break is because she believes the general public and her own fans need a break from her, too.
