Kristin Cavallari’s Brother Michael Found Dead [Breaking]

Kristin Cavallari, the former reality star and current wife of Chicago Bears QB Jake Cutler, has confirmed that a body found is that of her missing brother, Michael Cavallari. Michael Cavallari’s body was found in Utah just days after his car was found off the side of the road still running with his cell phone and laptop computer still inside.

TMZ broke the news that even though Michael Cavallari was reported missing three days ago, the car was found abandoned on November 27. Cavallari is a known alcoholic and has had his share of legal trouble in the past. Kristin Cavallari put out a statement about her brother.

“We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all.”

People Magazine reported that Michael Cavallari had not been seen in over two weeks. Kristin Cavallari is asking for privacy while her family figures out what is going on.

“This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”

A source told People that Michael Cavallari, 30, had a troubled past.

“Her brother was always a troubled kid and there was always drama with him,” the source told People.

Cavallari was last arrested on November 23 in California, just days before his car was found off the side of the road in Utah. He was briefly held in an Orange County jail. Michael and Kristin Cavallari were reportedly close.

“She was always very protective of him,” the source said. “She was always trying to help him. He had been trying to produce reality shows a while ago, but it didn’t work out.”

E!Online is reporting that the body of Michael Cavallari has officially been identified by the Utah Medical Examiner’s Office.

“At approximately 10:30 a.m. search crews located remains believed to be that of Michael Cavallari. At this time, the body is being transported to the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine the cause of death. The search crews were searching the Salt Wash area, near exit 175 on I-70 in Grand County. The terrain where the body was located is a steep and very rocky area.”

E! News was told that Cavallari’s body is still at the medical examiner’s office in Utah.

“I can confirm that a body was found and transported to the medical examiner’s office in Salt Lake City.”

RadarOnline confirms that Michael Cavallari has a history of arrests, some of them are violent. The arrest just days before Cavallari went missing involved him threatening a woman with a shotgun in a domestic situation.

“The victim/informant was in her home when she heard tapping that sounded like a piece of metal hitting her door,” Chief Information Officer Kirk Wilkerson told Radar. “She looked through the peep hole and cracked the door open but did not see anyone. She then looked out the window to the walkway between her apartment and the parking lot and saw Michael with a shotgun pressed to his shoulder and the barrel raised parallel to the ground, aiming down the path.”

Police reported that when they arrested Cavallari, he smelled strongly of alcohol. Cavallari and his victim had been having an ongoing dispute since November 11, and she said she was in fear of what he might do.
