Anna Duggar Visits Josh Duggar In Rehab Amid New Sex Scandal: Exploited In Duggars’ Show As Sponsors Flee [Video]

Anna Duggar may one day look back at 2015 and be proud that she survived. But for now, with the spotlight suddenly shining on her in her role as the wife of sex-scandal-generating Josh Duggar, it’s a time of disbelief and heartbreak for Anna, admitted the 27-year-old in a series of promos for the Duggar family’s newest reality TV show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, reported MSN.

Refraining from providing the public with what she was really feeling and thinking about the confessions that he had cheated on her, Anna finally is admitting how she felt when she learned that Duggar had been linked to the Ashley Madison website for infidelity, confessed to cheating on her, and admitted to an addiction to porn.

“It’s like, I’m going to wake up and everything’s going to be OK,” Anna recalled thinking when she learned Josh had been unfaithful. “This can’t be true.”

Duggar previously had also admitted that reports he molested five underage girls, four of whom were his sisters, were true.

“[It] was heartbreaking to hear what had happened,” Anna said of what her husband had done.

But the acts that Josh admitted to committing didn’t just impact Anna when it came to emotional distress. Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar both previously revealed that they were among the victims whom Josh had molested when they were underage and he was a teen. The two sisters initially defended him in interviews. But now, after learning that Josh had cheated on Anna, they seem to have changed their attitude of forgiveness toward Duggar.

“It wasn’t right for him to let us speak our words without having full knowledge of what he was hiding,” slammed Jill, now 24. “I cried a lot of tears.”

Jessa questioned how it could occur, seemingly baffled by what Josh had done.

“Someone who you love, how could this happen?” asked the 23-year-old.

Jill and Jessa: Counting On debuts Sunday, Dec. 13 at 8/7c on TLC. The first episode will last 90 minutes. Two more episodes are scheduled for 9/8c on Dec. 20 and 27.

So, while all the women are speaking out about Josh, what does Duggar have to say regarding what he did? Josh and Anna have four little children, and in his statement following the revelation that data leaked from the hacking of the cheating website Ashley Madison was linked to him, Duggar addressed both Anna and his children, reported Us Weekly.

“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.”

Since then, Josh has entered Reformers Unanimous rehab center, but Anna dealt with some backlash for not leaving Duggar.

Just prior to Thanksgiving, Anna made the decision to visit Duggar at his treatment center for sex addiction, reported In Touch.

Only Meredith accompanied Anna, because she is breastfeeding the baby. Duggar and his wife prayed together.

The visit follows yet another new sex scandal generated by Josh, this time resulting from the lawsuit filed by adult film star Danica Dillon for $500,000, which claims that Duggar hurt her during “violent sex.”

The couple discussed the newest sex scandal, and although Anna does know that Josh was unfaithful, she refuses to believe Danica, a source told In Touch.

“She doesn’t think Josh could be so aggressive. Josh is still denying it happened and told Anna that since he was living a life of sin, he isn’t surprised that people are making things up about him. But Josh doesn’t confess anything until he is absolutely caught in a lie,” added the source.

Amid the controversy surrounding the Duggars’ new show are the questions of whether viewers will tune in and advertisers will support. Two Facebook groups have been created to address both. One, called “Contacting Sponsors #Nomoreduggars,” has thus far achieved a list of more than 928 advertisers who have agreed not to advertise.

The other asks Facebook users to “Like” the page and take a pledge to boycott all the Discovery channels (which include TLC) during Counting On.

“This family minimized childhood sexual abuse showing victims they do not matter,” contends the Facebook group.

In addition, TLC’s Facebook page to promote the Duggars’ show is receiving its own share of criticism. Some Facebook users contend that TLC and the Duggar family are exploiting Anna for profit.

“Pimping out Anna now — you money-hungry people will stoop to the lowest of lows. You should be encouraging Anna to get the heck out of your family and get her children to safety away from their child-molesting father,” accused one such user.
