Becca Tilley Thanks Fans For Support While Amber James Wonders Why She Joined ‘Bachelor’ Again

When season 20 of The Bachelor returns in January, this time starring Ben Higgins, viewers will see two familiar faces among the group of women vying for Ben’s heart. On Monday, ABC released the full list of the 25 contestants. Included in the list are Becca Tilley and Amber James. Both Becca and Amber competed on the previous season of The Bachelor, which starred Chris Soules.

On Tuesday, Becca thanked her fans for their support. Becca received so much love that she felt like giving all of her supporters a big hug.

“Yall are honestly the best. Can’t say it enough! So much love! Id give you all a GIANT hug if i could! ??????????

Amber posted a sarcastic tweet in reaction to the cast confirmation. Amber tweeted her cast photo and asked why she subjected herself to the show again. She added the “see no evil” emoji to her tweet.

Does Amber’s tweet mean that her return to the show in a bid to win Ben’s heart didn’t turn out as she had hoped for? On Chris’ season, she was sent home fairly early. She later appeared on the spin-off show Bachelor in Paradise. She felt an immediate connection with Dan Cox, from Desiree Hartsock’s season of The Bachelorette. The two enjoyed a date in Puerto Vallarta. While the date went well, Dan didn’t develop strong feelings for Amber. Sensing Dan’s withdrawal, Amber accepted a date request from Justin Reich, in the hopes of making Dan jealous. Unfortunately for Amber, Dan didn’t give a jealous reaction at all. Instead, he confessed to Amber that he didn’t feel a strong connection with her and didn’t mind her going on a date with another man. Dan then set his sights on Samantha Steffen. The lack of a connection with another contestant meant that, as it happened on The Bachelor, Amber made a swift exit out of Bachelor in Paradise.

Unlike Amber James, Becca Tilley went quite far on the previous season of The Bachelor. She went as far as the finale, where it came down between her and Whitney Bischoff. In her final moments with Chris Soules, Becca confessed that she wasn’t in love and wasn’t sure when she would fall in love. “I want everything you can give me,” Chris pleaded. When it became clear that she wasn’t ready for an engagement, Chris sent her home and proposed to Whitney, who accepted without hesitation. In her blog for People after the finale, Becca commented that Whitney was ready to be Chris’ bride right from the start.

“Chris had the choice to continue dating me or propose to Whitney. And he chose her. I didn’t get there. And Whitney was ready. She was ready when she stepped out of the limo!”

Becca also talked about Chris and Whitney’s engagement, which has since ended.

“Whitney was one of my best friends on the show. I love her and I think he is a wonderful guy. They’re very well matched. I hope [we’ll keep in touch]. Maybe if I start dating someone we can go on double dates!”

The third runner-up on Chris’ season, Kaitlyn Bristowe, went on to become the next star of The Bachelorette. Ben Higgins was her third runner-up. Kaitlyn, after sending Nick Viall home, got engaged to Shawn Booth, to whom she’s still engaged to now.

When Ben Higgin’s season of The Bachelor airs, it’s likely that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Whitney Bischoff will be watching and cheering Becca on. The three women, despite competing with one another for Chris Soules, became good friends while filming the show. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, in response to Becca tweeting that she has a crush on Ben immediately after he was announced as the next Bachelor, Whitney predicted that she’ll win.
