Kim Kardashian Baby: Inside The Luxury Birth [Video]

Even Kardashian babies have to keep up with the luxury of the Kardashian lifestyle. According to the Mirror, Kim Kardashian’s baby was born in a luxury suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles that cost at least $4,000 a night. In October, Hollywood Life reported on Kim’s birthing suite plans and pegged the cost of all that luxury at almost $6,000 a night.

As “the most famous people on the planet,” it’s only to be expected that Kim and Kanye West would opt for the best of the best for the new West baby. A source told People magazine about some of the details of the ” deluxe maternity suite,” describing it as “decorated with blue balloons” to celebrate the arrival of a baby boy. The same source said that Kim and Kanye were “receiving a lot of gifts, including baskets and flowers,” but didn’t say if the flowers were mostly blue or not.

The suite included everything a mom needs to have a good birth experience, and the whopping price tag meant that the Wests would have received free meal delivery and dressing gowns, along with a “personal doula” for Kim. There was lots of room in the suite for the family of four to stay together after the birth of Baby West, and even room for visiting Kardashians and Jenners. OK! reported that each of the VIP birthing suites at Cedars-Sinai has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

“They both seem excited. The baby is doing well, too, and is able to stay in the suite.”

Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian also gave birth in the luxury suite, as did other celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson.

Kim was eager to make use of the luxury suite, and when she went into labor three weeks early, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to social media to share her eagerness. “Waiting,” she captioned a photo posted to her Instagram account.

Shortly after, Kim posted a selfie of her reflection. “Ready whenever you are,” she wrote.

When Baby West was born, early Saturday morning, Kim updated her website, kimkardashianwest.com, with the news.

“Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well.”

All the luxurious comfort of the birthing suite was very welcome when Kim found out that the second Kardashian-West baby was breech. That meant Kim had to endure the process of turning the baby around so that she could avoid giving birth by C-section.

A source told Hollywood Life that the most famous Kardashian sister was able to choose a natural birth, and that it wasn’t as difficult as the birth of the couple’s first baby, North West.

“She gave birth naturally, her preferred way, and she must be a pro because this time around Kim felt it was a lot easier giving birth.”

The source also said that Kim was “overjoyed with the birth of her perfect baby boy.”

The only fly in the Kardashian baby ointment might have been that Rob Kardashian didn’t reach out to sister Kim to congratulate her on the birth of her baby boy. The Daily Mail reports that instead of using his Instagram account to “give a nod” to Kim, the only Kardashian brother spent time helping the youngest Kardashian sister, Kylie, “plug her lip line.” Rob posted a “cute” photo of a sad looking dog resting its head on a computer screen filled with an image of Kylie Jenner’s make-up products.

The two Kardashian siblings have a “rocky” relationship that may have had something to do with Rob’s decision to ignore the birth of Baby West.

Whether or not Rob decides to offer his congratulations to the Wests, Kim and Kanye are still thrilled with the birth of their baby boy.
