Miranda Lambert Opens Up On Reasons For Divorce From Blake Shelton, Announces New Tour

Miranda Lambert, five months after her divorce from Blake Shelton, is finally opening up on what it was like to get divorced after ten years of being together, according to People.

“We were together for 10 years, married for four, were very quickly divorced, and are friends. I’m still processing everything and figuring out where to go and what happened.”

Miranda Lambert opened up that marriage is a tough thing and that she and Shelton gave it their “best college try.” And it seems that there are no hard feelings after the divorce.

“I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted.”

However, Miranda Lambert says she is not ready to date anyone else for now. After four years of marriage, the singer realized that she is not seeking marriage anymore – it is “completely not on her radar at all” right now, as reported by People.

“I feel like it’s not about it [marriage] being a step in life. It’s not about a piece of paper or a diamond. It’s the way you feel about somebody and the commitment in your heart.”

However, no matter how ugly and terrible the media has covered Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Shelton, the “The House That Built Me” singer claims that there are no sides to take in their divorce, according to Us Magazine.

In her own words, both Miranda Lambert and Shelton are “real people” with “real lives” and “real sh*t,” which is why they are moving forward. In fact, while Lambert remains unattached, Shelton has already found a new singer to be with: Gwen Stefani.

“We don’t need all the opinions. We just need y’all to be supportive, and nobody pick a side — because there ain’t a side.”

However, Miranda Lambert wasn’t all that sweet and modest about her life with Shelton.

“We [the women in Miranda Lambert’s family] will offer you a sweet tea and hug and love you to death, but we will not put up with your sh*t.”

After ten years of being together and four years of marriage, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton announced their separation the same day their divorce was finalized – in July of this year. But it looks like Miranda Lambert has indeed moved on. She shared a photo of her hitting the road after spending Thanksgiving at home in Texas, according to People. In the photo, sitting behind the steering wheel, Lambert was photographed with her brother Luke Lambert and close friend April Lewis.

Miranda Lambert wrote in the caption under the photo “drivin’ my life away,” and added such hashtags as “#txroadtrip #glamping #agnestheargosy #1975 #airstreamphotobomb.”

Just last night, Miranda Lambert hit the red carpet at the Kennedy Center Honors dinner. Daily Mail reported that the 32-year-old star looked happy and confident in a pure white gown with a plunging neckline. With her hair in a casual updo, Miranda Lambert opted for natural looking make up with glossy nude lips and dramatic eye highlights.

In other news, Music Times has reported that Miranda Lambert will be touring with Kenny Chesney in 2016, and that tickets to their show have already gone on sale. Joining them to tour will be Sam Hunt and Old Dominion, and the tour will begin in Alabama at the Jordan-Hare Stadium on April 23, 2016. The tour will weave through North America until August 27, 2016, finishing with a run of shows in Foxboro, Massachusetts, at the Gillette Stadium. Ticket sales have already been solid, with fans urged to purchase early to avoid disappointment.
