A Black Triangle UFO

Mysterious Dark Triangle UFO Spotted Hovering Over Nevada Town [Video]

A witness from Pahrump in Nye County, Nevada, has reported filming a “very large and hovering” dark triangle-shaped UFO for roughly 30 minutes. The mysterious object hovered in the sky above the witness’ home for about 30 minutes, during which he filmed it. He stopped filming as darkness fell.

According to the witness in a testimony filed as Case 57988 in the archives of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), on July 12, 2014, at about a few minutes to 9 p.m., he was standing in his backyard when his wife noticed a strange, large object hovering silently and moving in the sky.

According to the witness, “[T]he object was dark and appeared to be very large and hovering and moving.”

The witness fetched his camera and began filming. He filmed the object in the sky continuously for about 30 minutes. He was forced to stop filming as darkness fell and obscured the object in the sky.

According to the witness, the UFO was large and hovered silently in the sky with flashing white, green, and red lights.

“We filmed for about half hour before it got too dark to view it. We heard no noise and we observed flashing lights of white, green and red.”

“I have never seen anything like this and in itself was pretty amazing to watch and film,” the witness said. “I used my camera phone so the video quality is very poor.”

The witness was baffled by the sighting and said he had never seen anything like that before. Although he had no idea what the object was, he stopped short of claiming it was an extraterrestrial object. But he was satisfied that it qualified to be termed a UFO.

The witness and his wife watched and filmed the UFO as it hovered in the sky over their home for several minutes until it became too dark to see it. And because they feared they could be ridiculed if they published the video, they spent hours after dark trying to find a reasonable explanation.

“We are not claiming this object is extraterrestrial, but it’s definitely by all definitions is a UFO,” he said. “If you witnessed what we saw, you would have been in awe like we were. I looked for any logical explanation to what we were witnessing before putting this out there for us to be ridiculed.”

The video is of poor quality, but it shows a large triangle-shaped UFO hovering silently in the sky for several minutes.

The next morning, the witness and his wife went out once again to see if the UFO was still up in the sky and found it had disappeared.

“This morning, first thing we did was to go outside and see if we could see anything similar in the sky and everything was normal as to be expected,” he said.

The witness reported the sighting to MUFON. MUFON director in Nevada, Sandra Countiss, investigated the case and closed it without making a positive identification.

Regardless, it is relevant to note that dark triangle UFOs are among the most frequently reported after orb UFOs. Sightings of dark triangle UFOs have been linked in the past with a class of UFOs enthusiasts term Black Triangles, many of which were believed to be related to top secret military aircraft development projects (“black projects”).

Most black triangles are large and silent and are reported by witnesses as hovering in the sky or cruising slowly at low altitudes over urban areas. When the sighting takes place in the night, the triangle shape is deduced from the arrangement of multicolored lights apparently located at the corners of the triangle.

A series of sightings of black triangle UFOs over Belgium in the late 1980s and early 1990s were investigated by the government — the so-called Belgian UFO wave — after one was reportedly picked up by radar. The Belgian air force scrambled two F-16s to intercept the black triangles. A pilot reportedly managed a missile lock on one of the UFOs on two occasions, but the mysterious object was able to outmaneuver the pilot on each occasion.
