WWE Rumors: Jeff Hardy Returning For ‘WrestleMania 32’ — Matt Hardy To Follow?

The Dudley Boyz returned a couple of months ago. Tommy Dreamer just came back on Monday night. Edge and Christian have shown their faces. All these returns are huge, but they are also helping WWE overcome a lot of big-time injuries right now. Rumors have started up again that Jeff Hardy will soon be back in WWE and just in time for WrestleMania 32.

That being said, will his brother Matt Hardy join him?

WrestlingRumors is reporting that rumors of a Jeff Hardy return to WWE are stronger than ever right now. As injuries begin to pile up and his age continues to rise, Hardy is questioning his career and if it can actually carry on for much longer.

About a month ago, Hardy spoke with the Daily Star and said that his PCL is torn in his right knee and has been ever since breaking his tibia. It’s concerning him, and he wants to make sure that he can always wrestle at the level he is used to.

“Right now I’m mostly concerned about getting better. This is the first serious injury I’ve had in my entire life. This is very new for me. I realise how much I love wrestling now, because I miss it so bad.

“I think a lot of it is psychological. The thing is, my style, I’m the kinda guy who if I feel I can’t wrestle the style that I always have, then I’m not going to want to wrestle at all.”

Knowing that, Hardy may not have many years left, especially if he feels his wrestling style and quality isn’t where it should be. That means a WWE run could be coming up sooner than later and just in time for a big event.

ProWrestling.net knows that Hardy’s TNA contract is up in early 2016, and there has not been much discussion of a new deal or extension. As a matter of fact, it will be up before WrestleMania 32 in early April, and that could give WWE enough time to set up a program for him.

Apparently, Hardy even told people at a WrestleCade event over the weekend that he’s more open to a WWE return now than ever before.

Now, the even bigger question is if his brother Matt Hardy would be joining him in returning to WWE.

With the Dudley Boyz back, a Hardy Boyz return could lead to some interesting matches. Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley even spoke recently on doing another TLC match at WrestleMania if WWE was open to letting it happen.

The Dudleys said they would choose to wrestle The New Day and the Usos if it were to take place because they need teams that can do it right. Respect would need to be paid to the TLC matches of the Attitude Era that included the Dudleys, Hardys, and Edge & Christian.

All of the returns do bring back a lot of nostalgia for wrestling fans who have been watching for years and years. Seeing the Hardy Boyz come back would not only make things even more interesting in the tag division, but it would also help WWE fill the gaps where injuries have taken a huge toll.

TNA may have just gotten a new TV deal with POP, but it’s well known that they are on a youth initiative. A lot of their longtime and veteran stars are just being let go, and it’s something that has truly hurt them. It would not be a surprise to see them let the Hardys go.

Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy heading back to WWE would be huge news, and it’s something that looks to be on the horizon. Now, it’s possible that they could show up again before WrestleMania 32, and that just means the event will be made even bigger, but only time will tell.
