Heat, LeBron Spend Small Fortune Celebrating Finals Win

Lebron James and company, you’ve just won an NBA championship, what are you going to do next?

Forget Disney World, the NBA champion Miami Heat hit up a local night club where they dropped a $200,000 bar tab.

The Huffington Post reports that the night’s celebration started with Chris Bosh dumping an entire bottle of champagne on his own head in the Heat locker room, and Yahoo Sports blog Ball Don’t Lie reports it ended at LIV, the large at the Fontainebleau resort hotel in Miami Beach, Fla.

The night’s activities included packing LIV to the hilt, forcing the club to stop admitting the public at around 3 a.m. That of course was no obstacle to Bosh, the last member of the team to arrive at 4:30 a.m.

The Heat’s title win over the Oklahoma City Thunder may have been the best game by its Big 3. Bosh, James and Dwayne Wade combined for 70 points on 25-for-45 shooting, 26 rebounds, 16 assists, seven blocks and four steals.

Heat owner Mickey Arison and coach Eric Spoelstra stopped by the party, which featured Juwan Howard and other players wielding CO2 guns that filled the room with smoke, Wade donning a shirt that read “Team No Sleep” and James wearing a shirt that depicted him as a vampire.

Perhaps taking a page from last year’s celebration by the Dallas Mavericks, the Heat also purchased the famous Ace of Spades 15 liter bottle of champagne, which costs $75,000.

All told, it looks like the party was one that the Heat, and perhaps their accountants, will remember for the rest of their lives.
