‘Alaskan Bush People’ Matt Brown’s 2013 DUI Arrest Details Revealed

A lot of negativity has come to light lately about the Brown family from Alaskan Bush People. Radar Online shared news that Matt Brown was arrested for DUI back in 2013, and the details of his big arrest are now coming out. This family claims to live far away from civilization out in the middle of Alaska, but somehow Matt Brown’s trip to a bar turned into trouble in the end.

Matt was out in Juneau, Alaska, and having a good time. After a long night of partying, Matt ended up getting arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Matt Brown was driving a 1986 Volvo when he ran into a parked motorcycle at the Wal-Mart parking lot. Witnesses claimed that they saw it happen at around 5 a.m., and Matt Brown was the driver of the vehicle.

Officer Terry Allen shared details about the accident and said that Matt Brown was “nervous, jumpy, and talked real fast.”

Allen added, “I asked Brown why he was acting weird, and he said he had Attention Deficit Disorder.”

Matt Brown said that he doesn’t own his own car and even went on to share that he actually borrowed the car from a girl he met at the bar. Brown knew nothing about the girl at all, though. Matt didn’t know her name or even her phone number, and he shared that they had sex. Matt Brown never admitted to hitting the motorcycle and didn’t seem to want to admit to it. Matt blew a 0.150 blood alcohol level on a Breathalyzer test and was really sick.

Matt Brown didn’t have to stay in jail too long, and his dad, Billy Brown, rushed to bail him out, which only cost $250. It is unknown how the family was able to keep this from coming out in the press since Billy Brown is a reality star. In 2014, he ended up being sentenced and got three days in jail and 18 months probation for the accident. Obviously, police were never convinced that he didn’t do it.

Billy Brown and his son Bam Bam recently admitted to not living in Alaska all of the time and had taken money from the state of Alaska that is only given to citizens. It looks like they could end up spending some of their own time in jail for this offense. It was even admitted that this was true by the Brown family.

“By submitting falsified PFD applications for myself and my children, I stole $7,956 from the people of Alaska.”

At this time, the Browns are hoping that they will only get probation and community service in addition to paying the money back. Their fans have always been told that they lived in Alaska and off the grid. The fact that the Brown family didn’t live there all the time is very confusing to fans. If there are any other skeletons in the closet about the Brown family, then they should be coming out soon because everyone is interested and looking into what they have done. They might want to make sure they keep their act together now, or they could end up losing their reality show all together at some point.

Don’t miss new episodes of Alaskan Bush People on Wednesday nights on Discovery. Of course, this information about Matt Brown is coming out years later, but most people won’t be totally surprised to hear it. The Brown family has had a lot of different information coming out about them lately that doesn’t show them in a good light.
