Lady Gaga To Kylie Jenner: ‘You’re So Amazing! People Are Just Obsessed!’
Kylie Jenner is garnering a lot of attention for the racy poses she revealed as part of her Interview photo shoot, and Lady Gaga is being recognized for “Poker Face” reaching Diamond Single status (10 times platinum-certified). But did you know that the co-star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and the pop star are big fans of each other? Jenner admitted: “I’m obsessed with Lady Gaga.” And when Jenner met Gaga at Alexander Wang’s fashion show after-party, Lady Gaga told Kylie Jenner that she was “so amazing” and that “whatever [she’s] doing, people are just obsessed with it” and “basically told [her] to not change.”

The comments about Lady Gaga came after Interview asked Jenner about the pressure of having such a massive social media following. Kylie said that Gaga really inspires her to just be herself.
“You know who I’m obsessed with? I’m obsessed with Lady Gaga. I saw her at the Alexander Wang fashion show after-party, and I think she’s the nicest person ever. She came up to me and was like, ‘I think you’re so amazing, and whatever you’re doing, people are just obsessed with it,’ and she basically told me to not change. And I feel like that really helped me, because there’s a reason why I have so many followers and why people pay so much attention to me. So I just try not to change and stay authentic.”
She went on to say that she feels pressure doing sexy photo shoots as it’s hard to balance being a good role model to her younger fans and wanting to just be herself.

As reported by CNN, Kylie Jenner is taking a lot of heat for her use of a wheelchair in the Interview photo shoot. Wearing S&M clothing while giving off the vibe of a sex doll, disability advocates claim that “it’s deeply disturbing.” Those are the words of Emily Smith Beitks of the Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability. She continued, “People with disabilities are already seen as powerless, and this just reinforces that.”

Lady Gaga is no stranger to wheelchair-as-art controversy. She took some heat in 2011 for a bit in an Australian performance where she was wheeled out in a mermaid outfit. She also made an appearance in a wheelchair for her “Papparazzi” music video, although she had legitimately broken her hip.
But Lady Gaga is making headlines today for more praiseworthy reasons: the single “Poker Face” was just certified diamond. The 2008 single made it to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 100, and seven years later, it has now been 10 times platinum-certified by the RIAA. This is the second of Gaga’s singles to reach this milestone, as “Bad Romance” achieved the same in 2013.
