On Twitter, Jessica’s social media team created a funny post to celebrate the launching of The Warm Up workout collection. It urged shoppers to lunge their “bunz” into Macy’s to get her newest fitness line of clothing.

The exercise line from Jessica being called a performance collection that balances fashion and function. Simpson’s workout gear is the latest from superstars who’ve added workout clothing to their brands, like Carrie Underwood. The CALIA by Carrie Underwood fitness apparel is stylish and pretty and can be found in stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Compared to Jessica’s line of fitness gear, CALIA by Carrie Underwood appears a bit pricier.

“The Warm Up” clothing line can already be seen on Macy’s site, with items like this Jessica Simpson Warm Up Mesh-Back Long-Sleeve Active Top going for $24.99. The leggings found in the clothing line of active gear prominently displays Jessica’s fitness gear name, like the Jessica Simpson The Warm Up Plus Size Active Leggings, which are currently on sale for $29.99.

Plenty of the athletic clothing gear found in Simpson’s “The Warm Up” line can be found in plus sizes, such as Jessica’s high-impact sports bras.

Simpson explained that exercise has become important to her, and fans have witnessed Jessica’s weight gain and weight loss over the years. Mike Alexander, Jessica’s former personal trainer, gave hints about which specific exercises helped keep Simpson’s legs in shape, as reported by Shape magazine.

“Diet is very important. You have to eat really clean because every calorie counts at that point. At the same time, you don’t want to cut out too much. It’s important to eat because if you don’t your body’s going to hang on to the calories it does get and go into starvation mode. For exercise, I’d recommend doing two-a-day workouts: In the morning do cardio and in the afternoon do a quick weight workout with high reps. That will burn fat and create muscle tone.”

Mike also spoke to the magazine about his love of squats, lunges, and step-ups due to the fact that exercisers don’t need additional equipment much of the time to perform them. Plus, the fact that they are using the weight of their own bodies while doing them is a plus. Also, Alexander spoke of the frequency of working out and how that helps people like Jessica stay in shape.

“You can have the greatest trainers in the world get together and devise a workout plan for you, but if you only do it once a week, you’re not going to get the same results as someone who works with a mediocre trainer, but exercises four days a week. Also, the more consistent you are with your workouts, the less intense your sessions have to be. And again, diet is very important. I think people start to work out and they see it as an excuse to eat whatever they want. Sadly, that’s not the case.”

Jessica’s legs have long been envied by plenty of folks who wonder how Simpson got her gams so toned, as seen in the following photo from Jessica’s Twitter account.
